Just checking in. My favorite fish sandwich of all time. Appreciate this thread!

Quoted from SuperGrafx:Welcome and don't be a stranger.
The FoF unites and nourishes!
I won’t! My wife is totally grossed out by this sandwich. So, naturally I order it and eat it in front of her every chance I get.
Quoted from Pinbub:My favorite pizza is extra red sauce, sardines, garlic and onion, preferably red. My wife doesn't like that one for some reason.
Ha. I would eat it!
Haha. Bun was perfectly steamed. I was super happy with the tartar sauce as well. I didn’t even ask for extra but it was well loaded. Maybe next time I will ask for extra and see what happens.
Quoted from SirScott:I'll go 8.5, but only because the underside of the top bun looks like it has a big 'ole buttcrack.
I think I may have inflicted the butt crack when I took the bun off…so blame me not the spot on McDonald’s worker, lol.
Quoted from mrm_4:That’s a good opportunity to stack!

Top bun
What happens with the other top? Just eat it as a side?
Quoted from SuperGrafx:I tried it last week and was not pleased, but that was largely due to receiving some rather large slab-like onions instead of delicate/dainty slivers.
I shall brush that experience off as an anomaly and will try again soon!
I wonder if the little diced onions like what they put on their burgers would be any good on the FoF?
Quoted from punkin:Why not just order a double fillet?
The DoorDash app doesn’t have that as an option. I bet in person I could make that happen.
Quoted from mrm_4:I love the side of top bun!
How was it?
Everything I hoped for and more!
Quoted from punkin:Aaaahh it's a thing here sometimes. Looks like only Canada atm though.

Interesting. Not sure I have ever seen that here.
Quoted from tullster:Tried a mod today that for me, turned out pretty darn good. Pickles and diced onions. Not as strong as the slivered onions, the diced cheeseburger onions seem to blend in better and the pickles work too. It does take away from the fish, but it feels pretty good in the belly!

Well done. I have often wondered how extra pickles would do since there is already pickles in the tartar. Sounds like it works! Good call on diced onions. I am so hungry now.
Quoted from ultimategameroom:Ok it took me 18 days but I was on the move around lunch time and figured I’d take the plunge!
It was a balmy 10 degrees out with the wind chill and I was hungry!
The bun was steamed to perfection. Cheese placement was nice but they put way too much sauce on. I scraped it off with some of my French Fries which actually worked out well. I’m not a big fan of fried fish but it was actually VERY good!

I have a sauce problem. For me there is no such thing as too much sauce.
Quoted from SuperGrafx:Try the Hot mustard sauce -- still the greatest dipping sauce known to man for chicken nuggets
Agree. There is no other sauce for nuggets.
Quoted from pinballinreno:I want to see them "Chime in" as pinside members
Go: @McdonaldsCorp lol
Adding a Mcdonalds pinball machine to each of the 14000 locations would be EPIC !!!!!
Spooky should pursue this lol
So many cool toy ideas. A Hamburglar lock toy that steals the ball…
Quoted from punkin:I can see the pickle. Extra tartare not so much.
This McDonald’s puts the extra tartar under the filet.
Quoted from pinballinreno:Nice RUSH LE !
I love the gear button.
Thanks! Matt from Backalley Creations made the gear.
Quoted from mrgone:My wife loves the McRib.
I don’t.
So, ……………….
Yeah baby!
[quoted image][quoted image]
I always think I like the McRib. But every time I give it another chance I just wish it was a filet o fish.
Quoted from Slacker_Quacker:Late night crew comes through again! 3.99 though
[quoted image][quoted image]
That steamed bun is perfection!
Quoted from illudiumQ36:Thinking about all the askew buns shown here - what if they stopped using a box and instead wrapped them in paper like a regular cheeseburger? That way, the 3 main pieces would be in alignment. Sure, it would be oozing tartar out the side, but I'd be okay with that. Discuss.
The box keeps the steamed bun from getting smashed and flattened when it is at the bottom of a bag.
Quoted from illudiumQ36:This article popped up in my newsfeed this morning. I think I've eaten my last filet-o-fish. More for you guys!

This is Burger King funded propaganda to drive sales for the Big Fish. Carry on.
