McD's fries used to be fried in deadly beef tallow, which made them irresistible. You'd need those extra fries to munch on for the drive home or they'd all be gone by the time you got there. Nowadays, fries and potato chips are all fried in healthier trans-fat free vegetable oil which doesn't have the same addictive taste.

Here are the McDonald’s “McRockin’ Foods” Happy Meal wind-up toys from 1991. The drink has a Walkman and headphones, the fries is playing a harmonica, the cheeseburger has a blue guitar and the fabulous Filet-O-Fish babe with shades has a saxophone.

Got a good FOF here in NV tonight. Can’t see the cheese in these pics, but it was there. $5.19–Yikes! This one did seem a bit smaller than before. The calories listed for it are still the same (390). Maybe this is a different smaller bun. Looks like the bun I got before with a Hot ‘N Spicy McChicken sandwich.
