Don't mess with the Fish. From Wikipedia:

"McDonald's removed the Filet-O-Fish from its menus in the United States on September 26, 1996,and replaced it with the Fish Filet Deluxe sandwich, which was part of McDonald's ill-fated Deluxe line of sandwiches. However, the Filet-O-Fish was brought back to its menus on a gradual basis starting in the middle of 1997, due to overwhelming letters and petitions, receiving the larger fish patty from the Fish Filet Deluxe. The Fish Filet Deluxe itself was discontinued at most restaurants early in 1998, while others still offered it until 2000, when it was finally removed from all McDonald's menus."

You're high!!!!! Arby's is good and higher quality but if you think theres anything better than a filet o fish you need mental help!!!!

My whole life i have suffered from migraines, After being down for a day or even days this has always been my "go to" for my first recovery meal. lol.

    YA NASTY

    Quoted from skink91:

I'd just like them to go back to using a full piece of cheese vs. the half piece that is today's standard. I wonder how much money they've saved since going half slice? Perhaps it was to reduce calories?

    #19 3 years ago

Made from similar parts of the fish that hotdogs come from on pigs / cows? Well aside from the hoofs since fish don't have those?

    #20 3 years ago

Worked the 8-2am shift unloading trucks during college, F-O-F add cheese minus tartar, 20 piece tenders, large fries and 5 sweet and sour sauces was My regular order on way home. Poor mans surf and turf.

So glad I cook 95% of my meals at home now.

Rendering the leftovers is a good thing.

Filet o' barf falls short in comparison to the Cod Fish sandwich in the following ways:

    1. Not as tasty.
    2. Way way smaller in size.
    3. TOO much bun.
    4. Crappy fish "particles" compared to Arby's REAL cod fish.

    Who's high now!!!

The true King of Fish Sandwiches= ARBY's ALL DAY LONG!!!

I may also add: my cats won't even lick a filet o fish sandwich. The cod fish sandwich gets devoured.

    Absolute crazy talk.

First added to the menu in 1965 when they realized that the catholic practice of not eating meat on fridays was hurting business. It wont be long until it is considered a racist menu item and cancelled.

When they are 2 for $5 , it feels like Christmas morning!
    YUMMMMMMY

    #26 3 years ago

Only $3.99!? That was a great deal.

So you feed your cats fish sandwiches from fast food joints??

They also love Stouffer's french bread pizzas. Just cheese though. There was a pepperoni incident a few years back we don't speak of anymore.

Note the fish HANGING off the bun.

Make sure the cheese has had a chance to cool off. . . cannot tell you how many times I've burnt the roof of my mouth eating those pizzas too quickly after cooking.

I thought the same the first time I saw that there WAS a double... but somehow it throws off the ratios and I didn't like it as much as I would 2 of the singles.

Having never eaten either of these sandwiches, I will go to both establishments and eat them both to give you a truly objective opinion.

    I will report my findings!!!

Combine a single burger with a filet of fish, put some fries on top. McSurf and Turf Deluxe. Thanks Jack Black!

And by eating a Filet-O-Fish you are actually saving the world... it’s a festivus miracle!

    Quoted from skink91:

Sorry, festivus goes against my religion and the quest to only watch good TV shows.

You can take your festivus and stick it with your tarter sauce.

I’ve always liked the Big Breakfast sandwich with the english muffin. Put the eggs, sausage and strawberry jam between the muffin and you got the best breakfast sandwich on the menu. Ate that for the first time circa 1975
