It was my density.
Making the snow removal rounds, a quick drive thru lunch break was needed to indulge. I ordered 2 with a large coffee. Since I started keeping score, a perfect 10 has escaped me… until today. Even though one was tossed in the box haphazardly, no tartar or cheese touched the box. Perfectly steamed buns and crispy hot. To top it off, 2 for $6! Which IMHO, adds +1 to the score, making up for any minor imperfections.
It’s a good day. I think I’m going home to relax and play some pinball this afternoon!
I don't know if it's the camera angle or what, but damn, that's one tiny looking FoF!

I've been meaning to try the slivered onion mod. Maybe tonight.
Definitely the best put-together FoF I've had in a while.
I tried the slivered onion option and it was not so good...the slivers were rather large and very oniony.
Weirdly enough, the bun was different. Yes, the lighting isn't the best, but this bun was a reddish in color, sweeter and very chewy with a tough crust. Sort of reminded me of a brioche for some reason.
The quest continues....

Maybe it’s regional, but I use the McDonalds app and there is a code currently that gets you a buy one get one free FoF (or Qrtr Pounder, Big Mac, etc). The code is useable once daily til the end of January. For me this meant two FoF’s for $4 and change in my local market. YMMV, but good luck fishing!!

I had a FOF yesterday for the first time in a while. No pic but trust me………it looked and tasted delicious.

As noted in my previous post, I use it all the time when they have deals I’m interested in. The deals seem to rotate monthly so I never know for sure. Worst case scenario I end up getting a large fry for a buck or something. Not game changing, but still worth it for almost no effort.
And this months deal of BOGO FoF is going to get used a lot over the next few weeks. Lunch today I think!!

That FoF rates at least a 9.00 on the Pinside FoF scale of greatness.
Regarding the bun preparation, if my eyes don't deceive me, I believe it's a well-steamed bun. The telltale sign is the wrinkled texture on the top bun.

Haha. Bun was perfectly steamed. I was super happy with the tartar sauce as well. I didn’t even ask for extra but it was well loaded. Maybe next time I will ask for extra and see what happens.

I think I may have inflicted the butt crack when I took the bun off…so blame me not the spot on McDonald’s worker, lol.
