The one on the left had cheese placement that hung out slightly further on the back so I lost a small portion of cheese to the side of the box. Other than that they were both perfect

The one on the left is a work of art.
Even the bun appears to have a radiant glow about it...mmmm!!! 
It was cold, dark and sleety today -- the perfect kind of weather for a toasty warm Filet O' Fish sandwich!!
Placement and overall fit and finish not so good.
Seems like the same cook made this one, albeit with less tartar sauce. The bun was steamed this time, so there's that.
Anyway, happy Pinside FoF Day!!

My parent live in Orange County and I tent to store machines I buy at Captains auction and other places in their garage until I can drive out there and pick them up. A couple times a year I make the drive out there to pick up machines. Pretty much a straight shot on the 10.

My experience has been that FoF's made from a small town location are of better overall quality than those right off of an interstate. I think mainly because a dissatisfied traveling customer on an interstate won't take the time to return and complain, but a local resident will.

As you noted, a FoF doesn't require meticulous construction to be a good meal.
Glad you enjoyed it. The one on the left with the abundance of tartar sauce gets my vote as the best of the bunch.

I had a Burger King fish sammie today just to compare. Its not bad but lacks cheese and the bun is too bready. FoF is still #1 !
