Depends on the McDs and who runs it etc. Some are run better than others.
I can tell you where I live any McDs drivethrough has served me cold fries or a big mac that looks like someone with no thumbs built it.
If I get hot fries its like a minor miracle.
Just ask the workers to “drop your food fresh” when you order. Highly recommended for a non beef item like the FOF. Downside it will likely take a few minutes longer.

Hate to break it to you, but as long as there's a square filet of fish patty in between the buns it's a FoF. Doesn't matter what you put on or take off.
Just call it a modded FoF if you're that much of a purist.

I dont think anyone knows why, its just the way it is....
I also agree as stated above that we may be a bit militant when it comes to condiments.
However Ranch dressing goes on everything!
