A few days ago, my Xenon game starting blowing the F1 20amp fuse on the RottenDog power supply in the base of the cabinet. I put another one in and it blew as well. I disconnected all of the board connectors, and it blew for a third time. Followed an old Pinside thread on how to test the bridge rectifier. Tested bad, and I replaced it. (GBPC3506W) Powered it up, and fuse now doesn't blow.
Before I plugged in the boards, I decided to take some readings from the test points. Understand that the boards are NOT plugged in, and I don't know if that effects the voltages.
Test Point TP4 TP1 TP3 TP5 TP2
Labeled Volts 6.5AC 6.5DC 11.5DC 43DC 230DC
Measured Volts 7.28AC 7.86DC 13.8DC 44.9DC 182.5DC
Thoughts on this. I had worked on this virtually with an electronics tech in Canada, and he suspected some of my MPU board issues may be related to "over voltages". Unfortunately, I never measured the old voltages and then I would know for sure.
Should I plug them up, and see if the voltages change? Or is something else potentially going on here? Thanks for any insight. Picture included in case that helps.
