I’ve got a strange looking lamp driver board in my stash of working boards, and never noticed the differences till today.

The connectors all appear to be single pins, only the back is masked, and there’s a lot more info on the board than usual. So, was this a first run board, or what? Just curious since it’s the only one like that I’ve seen.

    Thanks for looking.

Forceflow - thanks - I didn't think to look at Pinwiki. I'm surprised they made this one with individual pins - seems like a lot of extra work to make a jig to hold the board while soldering. It is kind of neat looking with two tone color on the solder side, and brown on the top.

I imagine everything different about this board was probably a cost saving measure and/or a parts shortage issue.

Cool - I didn't realize Bally was that in involved in circuit board manufacturing. As ForceFlow said, the board was likely made this way for cost cutting.

    Quoted from Dan_Halen:

    Did you release the vids??

No. Life got in the way. Job took me all over North America, so no free time. When I retired, I immediately started another job. Private COmpaNy, owned by the lovely Carl Icahn. He sold it to a public COmpaNy that was poorly funded. They were going broke and I was laid off for the first time in my life. I took advantage of the situation and cleared out two homes and moved to Vegas. Still unpacking! Haven't run across the movie reels.
I did find an awesome color pic I took of the Bally sign and posted it in the neon thread awhile back. Here it is again.
