Got a -04 Data East cpu board that doesn't boot. It has a flash pattern I've never seen before. Both PIA and 5 light, then blanking flashes, then nothing. If I get really lucky, blanking will flash about 5 times and then stop. PIA never goes off. Using the Data East test ROM, it'll go through all 8 flashes, and then blanking will flash, and then nothing. Haven't tried Leon's yet, although I suspect it will work appropriately, as the problem seems to be with blanking/reset, and not the PIAs. Is there a way to narrow it down to see if it's the 555 chip or not? I do get a steady 4.45v on reset, so I'm suspecting blanking. How do I tell for sure?
