Any other pinside members big into OCR/Adventure Races? I did my first race last summer and I definitely got bit by the bug. I already signed up for two races in 2019, with the plan to do more. I think I'd like to aim for one race a month from May-September. So far, I've mainly stuck with the 3-4 mile races. Tough Mudder has a 5k option, but I'd like to challenge myself to the Classic edition (8-10 miles). Where I struggle the most is the running distance. I hate running, I get extremely bored doing it. So that 8-10 miles seems incredibly intimidating.

Those who do these, any mental advice for those longer distances?
