Shoot me a pm with your info. Thanks
Quoted from kcZ:Title says no more orders?
I have about 15 orders to make and trying not to create an overwhelming backlog.
ISO the person that ordered TOM rails.

Nice. That looks like it'll match well. Curious if you have a yellow or orange, but.. Will go ahead and contact you once you're ready to take new orders.
I've got to say I've noticed the layout and compositions of your rails looks almost identical to the originals. Are the original woodworkers aware of your imitation?
Keep up the good work!

Better call kenada to launch an investigation!
PM Sent Taylor. I received my Flash Gordon rails today. They look incredible and I can't wait to install this weekend after my Hardtop installation. They are a work of art, and Taylor is a true professional. Thank you.
I’ve had several emails about my ordering process so want to clarify how I do things and to make a request to those ordering.
If inquiring about rails please put the name of the game in the subject line. It makes it much easier to search by game.
When you decide you want a set please send your shipping info.
Cost of rails is in the first post of this thread. Prices reflect material costs and how much work it takes to make a set. Prices can change due to material increases, but I charge what is listed at time of order. Payment is due after rails ship so I can add shipping to the total.
I always have a queue and make rails in batches due to the steps involved. I try to limit my batches to 5-10 sets so I can make them in a timely manner and frankly hate having backorders pile up.
And lastly, thank you. It’s been an honor to be a part of your restorations and projects throughout the years.
-Taylor

Have an awesome day Taylor and keep up the great work you do, the pinhead community benefits greatly from it
Installed the new rails yesterday and so much nicer. Here’s a good reference to show the difference, take a look at pictures. I was referred to Taylor years back when I had a FH and the sticker they wrap with was coming off and really ratty. He was able to remake what I needed for my FH with a playfield swap and make it look 100 time better. I didn’t want to mess with trying to find the right wrap and screw it up myself. Fast forward and just an overall nicer look with better ingredients. Thanks Taylor.

Like already painted but doesn’t fit.

Nice, looks like I'm at the top of the list (even if slightly ominous to be underlined with a razor blade).
And happy birthday!

Haha, was just blocking out personal info..and thanks, it was a fun one.
Got everything drilled today and will sand them tomorrow. My sanding process includes sanding everything with a random orbit sander and then sanding each rail by hand, to say sanding is my least favorite part would be an understatement.

I played a couple early SS games with the hardtops at a show last year. I thought they played fine. They looked great. I don’t have much experience with them at all though.

I'm not so sure your wife would agree with that statement.
Took advantage of the beautiful weather the last two days to get this latest batch through the lacquer stage. 3B8235C5-E5C3-46C5-B0C5-BAB1B9F73A91 (resized).jpeg1F8F428C-6B89-4A4F-A8D0-A22DE3AB10D5 (resized).jpeg

The install itself is very straightforward. Very time consuming with prep. I replaced all of the clear colored inserts because the old ones where toast. That added time and effort, but I am pleased. Now reinstalling the drops, flippers, slingshots, etc. Slowly coming along.

Haha, is Chris posting food pics?

Actually, yes he does. SORRY
But his are mainly of fish and veggies, only on occasion a tasty looking sugar treat!!
Getting my first CPR playfield (Sorcerer) shortly, and a set of Reese rails to go along with. Anyone have advice on how long to let the clear cure before installing the rails (to avoid fusing the rails to the clear if it's still a little sticky?)
Slightly off-topic question for everyone: I have a CPR white-top Centaur playfield (all bare wood screened white). Do you guys think it would look good with white rails, or should I stick to black? I'm not normally a color change kinda guy, but I thought a special playfield might justify special rails.

White would get dirty quickly and have ball trails all along them.

White might look really sharp. Lacquer is pretty tough so I don't see the ball causing a lot of damage or leaving trails and there are really not that many areas the ball actually comes into contact with the rail.

Damn jealous, I wanted one of those all white ones. My buddy just finished installing an all-black version that he got from a pinsider. It turned out great.
