I think I have just as much fun with the EM's... maybe even more. Quicker games, easier to compete between skill levels... Also, have a lot more money left in the bank after the trade out.
    Opinions?

    GO!

EMs are rad. And you most definitely can sell off some dmd's and get some great playing EMs in their place plus major cash. But there is room for all. My collection is always EMs and some early SS games. At my bar we have 5 of our 25 pins will always be EMs. The rest run the gamut from early SS, all the way to an Iron Maiden premium. And I love playing them all. If we are playing with friends or customers, it's always an EM. Quick ball times, and it levels the playing field because someone doesn't need to know how to best exploit a complex rule set. They're the best for that.

I have a pretty diverse collection now as well. six EM's, 10 SS's, and 20 DMD's or so... Just looking to change it up a bit.

Yes I totally agree, sell all post 85' games and buy all EM's. I will take your Radical and Godzilla
You have to do what makes you happy and play what you enjoy. I personally am on the opposite side of the spectrum, I only like modern games with ramps. EM's are really boring for me. Just bought a Skateball because my wife played it at O-din's home and thought it was fun and simple. Thought I would add some diversification to my collection. When I brought it home the wife never played it and it got boring for me real quick. I think I have grown accustomed to fast games with ramps, because nothing else does it for me personally.
It also made me realize that TNA is probably not for me. I really like the music, sounds, etc. but not having ramps would get boring for me quickly. Now bring on a TNA with real ramps(not O-Din makeshift) and I am in. TNA II with ramps would be stellar.

I have quite a few ramps. I got a lot of games with 4 ramps. Yea.. 4. Ramps are like, just another shot, man.....
I would probably keep a few of my DMD games. for variety. 4 maybe.
