Installed a new Rottendog MPU004 board in my Lethal Weapon 3 pinball. The game starts and plays correctly, but I can’t get any of the game adjustments (free play, number of balls, etc) to save. There are 3 red LED lights on the board. Two stay lit (Blank & +5v) the 3rd LED is always off. I don’t know what purpose it serves or if it’s related in any way to my problem with the NVRAM.

Have you tried calling ksarcade for tech support?

If a PIA is lit, that would indicate a problem with the MPU, just like on the original DE MPU.

i had a lethal weapon with a new mp004 board and i could not even get the game to boot with the nvram they put in it......i sent the board to them and they gave me a story saying my game rom was bad....baloney....just go buy a different nvram from ebay...they cost 15 bucks....it is the one that is a 6264 replacement.....that should do the trick.....rottendog so heavily defends their boards they don't even test them right....kinda irritated with them at the moment.....go get the 6264 nvram from ebay it should solve your problem......

Could you put a logic probe on the NVRAM and tell if it's having issues? If so which pins would you test in what game state and what would be the expected results?
