Quoted from lyonsden:

I (gently) took out the batteries and popped out U212 from one of my whitestar pins, put in an FM1608

You think you could have left the batteries in and changed out the chips, powered the game on and then take out the batteries? It seems this would keep your settings and your scores. Or would this not work and it'll mess something up?

Ah yes -- WPCs and their need to know the date and time.

Yes they are very punctual machines

Here they are 10 for 20.03 if you use the mobile app http://www.aliexpress.com/item/10PCS-FM1608-120-PG-FM1608-120-P-DIP/32526541906.html

Just want to make sure. When using these with system 11c and b boards, you move the resistor from W5 to W6. Replace and add a 28 pin socket to U25 and plug one of these in correct?

I socketed the nvram to my Jokerz board and rejumpered it. Works just peachy.

For the rejump you just moved the resistor from W5 to W6?

Quoted from maddog14:

yes, It turned out to be pretty straight forward.

That's awesome. I've done the already socketed ones before and once my next NVRam order comes I'm gonna tackle my Banzai Run (another system 11b). I couldn't find a straight answer about the jumper though. Very cool.

Mine would have came yesterday but someone had to sign for it. 10 for $20 deal. Gotta go to the post office on Monday now.

Quoted from Dewey68:

Has anyone not received sockets from the Ebay seller that was linked earlier in this thread? The delivery window is listed until the 11th, so I have a few days left. I think it was a whopping $1.56 with shipping, so not a high $$ item if I don't get it.

I received them also. They took the longest compared to my two separate orders of NVRams. I ordered them on Nov 12th I think I got them on Dec 26th

Quoted from ForceFlow:

I went through the USPS website just to see how much it would be--almost $43.

That sounds like the priority international rate. First class international would be cheaper but probably not cheaper than what you paid for all 20 of them.

Anyone order from this seller and get them? Looks like quite a few people ordered but no feedback.

I ordered from them and got them in the mail. I didn't have a chance to test them though.

Another thing. I can't believe I waited so long to get a chip puller: ebay.com link » 1pcs Hot Removal Chip Portable Tool Extractor New Tweezers Circuit Board Puller
At $1-$2, I'm kicking myself for not getting one sooner.

Even cheaper on Alliexpress
