Hobbit looks to be a great pin, and yes JJP did take some money out of Stern's pockets by getting people to prepay for it and WOZ years in advance, but it's still a relatively small amount compared to the 14 pins that Stern has sold since JJP came into existence.
They took some money out of Stern's pockets but put more back in thanks to a new acceptable price point for pins.
