Revenge From Mars
Bally, 1999I got the computer running, but it does not see the motherboard. I have a PCI-E parallel card in the computer. I don't see any parallel port options in the BIOS. I have no idea if the driver is installed, or how this stuff works with Ubuntu. Help!!

Again, I know absolutely nothing about Ubuntu, but this is my findings.
using the command sudi lspci I can see the parallel controller. I tried pulling the card out and running that command again and the line disappeared, so I know it's seeing the card I put in.
I read something about an address or port number that needs to be set in the BIOS. The BIOS options on this PC are very slim (older HP Pavilliion). Also, not sure if BIOS would have anything to do with a PCI-E card.
