Let's Make a Deal lol
Quoted from CrazyLevi:The funny thing is that in 1986 no single operator or distributor would even give a shit if a game showed up with a few scuffs, much less demand a brand new game (which in itself is a laugher...Williams in 1986 would have guffawed in his face for making that request). Literally nobody on the planet who was buying NIB games in 1986 would care about any of this stuff.
Why isn't the fuckin' head attached?!?! Where's the topper? Why did whomever owned this "time capsule" for 40 years decide it was a good idea to make it a parts machine?
You guys know I'm no price cop, but I am a bullshit cop, and there's tons of bullshit violations in this ad. I know when I get a rare "Time capsule" machine for free I immediately remove the head, start swapping boards, take off the topper, etc. etc....
The funny thing is the REAL non bullshit version of this story is probably way more interesting than the fake one, but we'll probably never know how such a nice looking High Speed managed to get the head removed, topper stolen, boards taken out, legs repainted etc. etc....an operator bought two and forgot about it until he needed parts years later? It was a "factory second" that was never completed at the factory and was used for training purposes at Williams or sold cheap for parts? WHo the Hell knows.
I’m 100% with Levi on this! And for Todd’s (Tuckey) sake, if it’s truly NOS, where’s the gum?!? There should be a chewed piece of Bubble Yum stuck under the bottom of this bad boy for $20k.
No hard feelings Levi, I just couldn’t resist.
Also: XMEN LE in market. $7,999 OBO or trade!
SMH at the OP - what a joke, "brand new" my @ss! And ONLY $20K, what a deal! I have nothing to add that hasn't already been pointed out by many pinsiders here, but wanted to chime in before the lock.
Thanks to everyone out there for calling out the OP on the obvious BS - this thread has been extra fun to read this morning.

"shitters full Clark !"
We haven't heard from the OP in awhile.
Maybe he's busy with that 10k sale with the dealer that wants to flip it for a huge profit.
Firstly, congrats to the OP for a great thread. If you lose your job flipping pins, you could always become a pinball influencer.
Why would you even mention the NOS backglass? Why not just install it in the game? Or does that help with the narrative of why the backbox is off the game and badly damaged?
Quoted from luch:[quoted image]
Aren't you going to follow that up with a lock picture? The Inn picture always come before the lock picture.
Quoted from Knxwledge:Spamming to get the post count up or the thread locked?
just having some fun.
I can't believe 275 post on this waste of time. I would rather watch a 15 minute Facebook video post that is a total waste of time. OP should be ashamed of himself for even calling this a new machine let alone put an asking price of 5 to 6 times its actual value.
Quoted from Eric_Allen:Duh…because the legs were stored in a separate location from the machine. You know…like we all so often do.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I store mine in a humidor.
Hey, I've got a populated NOS Elvira playfield if anyone's interested. I only took a few parts off to test fit them on another Elvira. I havnt had a chance to reinstall them yet. This thing is MINT!! You won't find another like it!! Only 10k. NO signs of dirt or wear ANYWHERE!!

Quoted from gdonovan:Light shelf wear, I'll take 5k for it.

Hard to tell from this picture, but I assume that the lower part of the playfield had or has mylar on it?

Has still on the lower, I'm going to try my hand at restoring with stencils, air brushing and water slides.
Quoted from girloveswaffles:Only two down-votes away from 100! Come on Pinsiders!
I was number 100!

He made it!
Quoted from Eric_Allen:It’s definitely a guy named Joe (going by a different last name, at least on FB) and he’s supposedly in Euclid, OH. Does that match?
The location matches. It’s Joe Zenk. He’s literally changes deals, changes stories all the time. Some of the stuff is so far fetched that it’s impossible to even believe…kinda like this listing. Next up…dying wife
I just confirmed it’s100% Joe Zenk. I just called him from the number in his previous post. How many accounts does this guy have???

One for every scam!

OP has been here 9 years. Damn, that’s the long con!! Haha

Not if you have been trying to scam people with a dozen other different users for the past 9 years. From the stuff I have seen posted this guy seems like a real gem to deal with.
No dog in this race but it isn't easy to get over 100 downvotes in less than 24 hours. Maybe a new Pinside record?

I bet he has about 10 or so accounts all from back in the day.
