Just so too many people don't bug this guy or waste their time: I called him and talked to him about the stuff. He said he wants $10k for IJ, $8k for TAF, and about $3-4K each for FT or JY. He also said he's not negotiable. This is just an FYI.

Goodness gracious im glad I didnt call lol

Quoted from Mike_J:

Amazing what happens when a game is priced right.

It was nice but priced right if it was shopped and didnt have the play field issues and wrong coindoor its a 5500 - 6 k pin all day

#1517 9 years ago
Quoted from Snowyetti:

Oh it was nice Ile vouch for that thanks again for the great deal lol.now I know why someone tried to give me 800 more before I even unwrapped it lmao

Yep ive had many people I know pay 5500 up to 7500 for one in great condition , unrfaded fir 5500-6 and the higher end with color dmd and a ton of mods .

#1518 9 years ago
Quoted from Monster_Bash:

I had a rebuilt (shopped) unfaded sample with 3rd magnet with no cab damage and no PF wear at all...LEDs..thing was beautiful
I sat on it for 3 months at 5400 before I got 4900 for it...shipping was available also
I'd like to know where these 6k buyers were a couple month ago
Take a peek

I Can see the head was redecaled with incorrect decals and the ball drop and shooter lane is little rough .also has flipper button wear on the right and the slot kickout and diverter drop are a little worn also .im guessing with them few things is why it took so long and only solsd for what it did and the right person had to come along .Still a good deal on a sample with nice mods but definitely not mint 5750 is what I wld of gave for it .when was it for sale also ?

#1525 9 years ago
Quoted from herbertbsharp:

I honestly don't see that. I've sold 3 decent TZs all in the mid to high 4's. I don't remember seeing any move above 5000-5500 that aren't exceptional examples.

Wow really ive seen numerous ones sell for all over 5250 in the past 3 or 4 months

#1527 9 years ago

Seems like pins get popular in spurts and tz just had one but agree for a nice unfaded with a nice playfield I think around 5k is the going rate give or take for exceptional examples and little less for ones with few blemishes

Thanks Purple, I actually tried to talk to that guy, but he was Horrible to deal with.. The game was missing a target and had a plastic next to Kenny that was just solid blue, so I asked him if there were any other issues with the game, and he basically took my head off and told me it was a 3000 game.. I believe you should be NICE to potential customers, not take their head off for asking a very simple question before taking a 5 hour trip to go see it...

Agreed but happens mkre often than none

Title that ive never owned that I wld like to try at some point

#2385 8 years ago

Its around what they can sell for which is usually 2 -2500 depending on condition and where in the country. Seems to be a pin that is hard to sell from doing research which is the only reason im hesitate bc I tend not to keep pins super long lol

Probably the same guy that snagged out from under the other 300 guys trying to buy it. He probably had to offer more than $300 to get it anyway, stuff that cheap never sells that low it turns into an auction most of the time.

#2598 8 years ago
Quoted from Blackbeard:

Slow down killer.
I saw pics of the pf after hearing over and over how spectacular conditioned this thing was in. Nothing was mentioned about touch ups until I brought it up after hearing from another on pinside about them.
Only then after I inquired about possible touch ups did seller tell me about them and send pics of them, which are indeed bad. They aren't small or well done by any means. The pf is also very worn out. How can you say other wise? I've seen many pics. It's all subjective I guess.
Then he tried to compare his pricing with that of eBay. We all know about eBay pricing.
If you want the pm''s he sent, I'll send them to you.
This thing is no where near 3250. Even with "wiggle room". That price, given its condition is laughable. Very much so.

I believe its the same guy selling a 2800 faded jm and offered his congo for 4600 to me when I was looking also . Now this very pricy bad cats I believe he sld just go to ebay bc these discussions will happen with these kind of prices.

I'm still trying to love TZ, which I really wanted to restore. But oh my God, I still hate that machine.

Sega Twister going up for sale tomorrow. Just shopped W/LED's. Plays great, pretty good shape, only negatives are the magnets don't work & the DMD has very slight shading in the lower right corner. $1850. Pictures tomorrow.

The magnets are the coolest part of this pin... especially the spinning disk one with mb.

#5313 7 years ago
Quoted from Butch2099:

I'm at the end of the rope trying to fix them. Only thing not done was replacing the magnet board. Partly because it's unavailable & part because it's a $300 shot in the dark that it will work. I priced the pin at the low end of previous sold here & below Pinside estimated value due to the magnets. Didn't get pictures yet. Definitely tomorrow though.

Pretty sure the magnet board is usually the culprit in this case.... same thing with many other sega pins also ... i love the twister movie.. glws

Had trouble getting 2k for my beautiful modded dm.... both dm and jd are great pins for 2-2500 range

1 week later
#6295 7 years ago
Quoted from Blackjacker:

What's wrong with it?

All works but probably has the typical decal wrinkles and drac track /mosh pit wear so its priced accordingly . If someone wants to put in the work decals are 300.00 and playfield is 1k so you cld have a nice restored mb for under 9k with some work which is very nice. Or u can just enjoy the pin and not worry about it.

BSD Needs rubbers and a good playfield waxing. No board or mech repairs needed.

Down the road (most likely late Spring):
NGG re rubber and playfield detail

TOTAN Filthy machine, but still in storage. I'll have more details when I see it again.

Obviously with all that interest lol.... probably one the most sought after classic pins right now bc of mm and afm being remade. Also depends on condition and i bet lots of the people probably wanted pics first which is why you got so much interest. Glws

Quoted from Colsond3:

I was actually going to give you a call bigd...never stopped by a few months ago when I was down your way. Trip was long with both stops already, and had to get back. When I go back down to pick up my Vampire playfield from sohchx I'll definitely swing by this time and throw up a few high scores on your machines.

Thanks man...I appreciate it. Try to do what I can to keep games in circulation as opposed to storing them. I thought this thing would have been gone already. Gonna post it on CL tomorrow too just because I have absolutely no room for it. Would prefer to get it to a fellow Pinsider. Actually had to take it down and put it out in the garage tonight to get it out of the center of my game room. Got it playing pretty good after a few hours of TLC.

Wish I had the time...I would. I picked up a pretty nice Time Zone for grizlyrig down by me and bought it up to Pintastic for him.

U better since he lives so dang close to me lol. Im near coinopwarehouse also. I like new high scores on my pins ....gives me something to shoot for every night.
