Discs of tron on hold.

#5552 7 years ago
Quoted from Saveleaningtower:

Have some arcades to sell in northern nj. All are nice. No junk here so no worries about the wife not wanting it in the house. I can send pics if you send your cell phone number. Any sale of these no pins will result in donations to pinside. Thanks. Ant.
Star Wars upright - plays perfect - $3,000
Tron - also plays perfect - great condition - $3,000
Tempest - very nice and plays perfect -2500
Chopped environmental Discs of Tron - needs to have audio board put back in after it was rebuilt. It still works fine but some sound missing. The rebuilt board is included - 4500.
Crusin USA - plays great - $1,250

Go away jelly tart.

I'll let you figure out that one.

#5558 7 years ago

Since we're on the topic, ISO a decent, working original cabinet Donkey Kong within a couple hours from Providence.

Yep. Thumb me down. What I don't understand is why people don't mind their business. These games are as nice as you will find and they have all been bulletproofed extensively, costing as much as a thousand dollars. You go buy some piece of junk fixer upper. Especially the vectors. Then when you never get it working you'll realize that quality costs money

#5560 7 years ago

Coyote - why don't you ask for pics of the game and how they play? Instead you just shoot your mouth off. No class. Mostly because you probably have junk yourself.

Guy I sold Discs of Tron to is very happy with what he saw and knows the market.

Hey, speaking of business, what tier are these games in for the Pinside fees for selling here?

None. But I'll donate anyway.

And coyote - go back to the basket case Star Wars that guy can't get to work. Mine plays sweet.

Vid prices probably aren't as familiar as pin prices around here. Heck, you can't get a ms pacman for $100 anymore.

Well, he keeps calling me out for some reason, but..
Crusin' USA, a single unit? There's two for sale over on KLOV for $500. I didn't vote anyone down. Was just making fun of the prices, and thinking I should list my Rush the Rock for about that much if they sell.

Well, I don't know vid prices either

But, those are well above what I would be willing to spend on vids anyway. However, someone else might be interested. Who knows.

Yeah cuz you always start crapping on my posts. Notice you post and I could care less? If it's not for you, keep scrolling. But I guess you need the attention and shit.

100% what's always been wrong with pinside. Price police. Especially from those that are all jelly.

I'm not huge on vids either, mostly for nostalgia reasons.. But my nostalgia doesn't come from when I wss a kid, but when I worked in the industry in the 90's. So Galaga, Pac Man.. They don't spark anything for me, but "Rampage World Tour", Gauntlet Legacy, games I had to work on..

BTW, I thought the game "Tier" was based on price - but for some reason I can't find the post that had them all listed out. Dunno if that was changed now.

I assume the basket case Star Wars that he is bashing you about is the one that I sold yesterday. It was such a basket case that I had close to 20 people willing to pay my asking price for it immediately across four forums. It's all good because I sold it for a nice profit and the buyer made a bigger profit selling it again, so everyone's happy!!

#5573 7 years ago

is klov the best place to find vids? i'm trying to find a few, actually.

Prices justified - this guy got good money and 20 people wanting his game and it didn't work. Mine are all rebuilt in excellent condition so I know my price is good. Plus do you guys know the concept of pricing and negotiating? That what happened on the DIscs of Tron and we were both happy.

Also, wasn't bashing you. Just giving heads up that these classics are worth a lot. Please feel free to let those other 19 know about mine.

I'm not exactly sure how it's calculated. Robin would be the one who could answer that.

Same thing with pins. Certain titles fetch a lot of interest when they surface.

Course, anything Star Wars is going to be more desirable just because it's Star Wars.

Yes, one of the best. For almost 20 years I have built most of my collection through other members and prices most times are always fair. Imo don't even bother with CL unless you want a bidding war, same goes for live auctions and their relentless shill bidding. Another good place to find vids is Facebook groups believe it or not.

Man i may have to get in the vid business... they cant be more difficult to work on than pins? I have all the tools and live beside one the biggest arcade dealers in the country. Hmm

Please ask Robin to chime in on this thread. We need the pricing structure laid out and if it applies to this thread just so we can get back to selling here. Thanks

Much easier and cheaper.......Unless it's vector

Quoted from weaverj:

I first got into vids around 2010 and exited quickly, they drove me nuts. Between the monitors and the boards and wiring, it seemed too complex on top of being into pinball. Several months ago however, I had an itch for the classic 80's stuff mostly, and maybe some 90's stuff. I was surprised how difficult it seemed to get what I wanted, but i've learned patience is the key.
If you go looking for what you want, you may pay too much or have a hard time finding it. If you have an open mind to something you weren't looking for, they seem to come to you.
I started with a Widebody Mario Bros, Centipede and Pacman, and now I have 20 or so. I really enjoy playing them because like pinball, they are like time machines- takes you right back. However, I find pinball easier to diagnose and work on. When a game craps out, the board and it's chips/roms look daunting, and I don't have this stuff on hand. Maybe like pinball it's a learning curve, so I'll keep at it, but it's no fun to have a game not work. With that said, I really like my vids and so do my kids (when they work)

Is this a pinball forum? Is this a "Northeast for Sale thread" on a pinball forum?

#5584 7 years ago
Quoted from Coyo5050:

There was a $1500 Getaway posted almost same time too. While not quite the same level a really low price and it also sold instantly.

i saw that too, thought it over and went to respond and it was sold :\ oh well.

#5585 7 years ago

Anyone have a Crazy Climber arcade for sale? Keep me in mind if you come across one. Thanks!

#5586 7 years ago

Ok back to selling pinball machines, in the pinball for sale forum..

Sooooo....about those pinball machines for sale....

.... anyone interested in a project Joker Poker....nice pf, decent bg and complete boardset. Haven't even set it up to see if it works, but since the mpu shows signs of acid I'll venture that it doesn't. Open to trade offers or $700. Pics when I get home Saturday night.

That was me, I was there to try out the AC/DC you have for sale but I couldn't resist trying something else out while I waited. Sorry I came too early and you weren't around...

#5599 7 years ago

I have a very nice Williams Star Trek Next Generation for sale.

The Good:

Cabinet is really nice, good color, very minor imperfections, one of the nicest I've seen.

No playfield wear except for the Neutral Zone which should be easily covered by a cliffy protector.

Boards are clean.

No credit dot.

Display is bright & clear with no lines or dots out.

What it needs:

Could use a cleaning & new rubber.

Has original incandescent bulbs.

Base of slingshots are broken off.

Upper right flipper is weak.

Neutral Zone cliffy.

Median price on Pinside is $4300, which is where I'm at. I would prefer a straight sale, but open to trade offers. Preferably newer Sterns or Classic Bally/Williams. I can add cash if needed.
