Steve, Adafruit has a pretty good tutorial on using a raspberry pi for a classic arcade that works surprisingly well: https://learn.adafruit.com/retro-gaming-with-raspberry-pi?view=all

Not sure about the track ball, but it's a pretty easy and inexpensive project to get started.

I needed a riveting tool for my WCS plastics and got a cheap one from harbor freight. http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?q=riveting+tool

    Quoted from practicalsteve:

which one did you get? did it make the rivets with the rounded heads or did they have holes through them?

I'm pretty sure I have this one: http://www.harborfreight.com/hand-riveter-set-38353.html which comes with a set of rivets even though they are not shown in the picture. Rivets look like these: http://www.harborfreight.com/100-piece-1-4-quarter-inch-aluminum-blind-rivet-set-67619.html

You end up with a round head with a hole in the middle on one side and flattened/compressed aluminium on the other.

Anyone check out this firepower yet? The price keeps dropping and isn't unreasonable, merely curious

Steve, you got me curious and I kept watching the price go down over the past few days and finally couldn't resist (thanks!). Modesto is about a 2 hour drive from San Jose and I'm glad I went. The Firepower is definitely a players machine and has a few spots worn down to the wood, but overall the machine is in decent shape. The seller is a total pinhead. Must have had at least 15 pins and a whole bunch of arcade machines in various states of (dis)-repair. Good times.

So you grabbed it? Nice! I couldnt believe the way that price was dropping! Was teh guy selling anything else?

AFAIK he hasn't posted anything else for sale yet, but he said that he has a hardbody that he plans on selling soon.
