By any chance does anyone who went to PinAGoGo know the person who was there Saturday afternoon selling some older play fields? I think that one was a beat up Black Knight, and they had a new WOZ behind their table. Are they local to NorCal?

Is there anyone in the bay area who regularly sells or parts out old machines? Preferably solid state machines.
I took some visiting family to the Santa Cruz boardwalk this weekend, and I was sorely disappointed with the games. POTC wasn't set up correctly, and one of the ramps was broken and just floating above the playfield. Another(LOTR) had a non-functioning right flipper. I didn't waste any money on the others. Too bad, because I was excited to have some of the kids try out pinball for the first time.
Quoted from hawkmoon:Does anyone know about the fund raiser for PPM??I got a e-mail about it ,but it got erased before I could read it all!!??

No idea if these are still available, but someone might make a decent deal
sacramento.craigslist.org link
I think I'm full up on projects, so I'll pass this on for those who might be interested:
sfbay.craigslist.org link
we are having a wharehouse sale of old vintage slot machines, pinball machines, gambling devices, all from the 1930-1960s! a lot of parts for restorations too! this stuff comes from a collector who repairs old machines. there are dozens and dozens of machines, all pre 1969!
the sale will be on the 12th of this month, from 9 to 2 only. this saturday only!
it's in bel marin keys. in marin county in ignacio.in the third block off the freeway and a right on bel marin keys... look for the signs...
Someone got a good deal. By the time I called, she already had a buyer. Alas.
sfbay.craigslist.org link
Steve Charland's(blownfuse) family was having a sale of some of Steve's machines.
I don't know what they still have, but you might drop them a line if you are in the area and looking.

Send an email. Can't hurt.
Anyone making a trip up to the bay area from the Fresno area with space for a cab in the near future?
Anyone happen to have a System 6 "compatible" backbox for sale? It can be in rough shape, as long as it is generally not on the verge of collapse. I need a new one for Gorgar.
Week, since the last request worked out, does anyone happen to have a working System 6 mpu and/or driver board available?
I've also got a populated Gulfstream playfield up for grabs. Make an offer/trade.
Quoted from mann0mann:Anyone in the Hayward interested in starting a league?
I'm not in Hayward, but I might be interested in a league. I'm in San Ramon. I'll go check out his place sometime soon.
Quoted from BobC:I went to the event at the Flipper Room last night.
It's definitely a place you want to check out.
Seconded. Mike always throws a good party, even if I don't get to camp out on my favorites.
Quoted from arcadenerd925:Working on my first restore (FH) and figured I would first reach out locally to see if anyone happens to have any of the following to lend?
I don't have the silkscreens, but I might have a stapler that would work. I'm in San Ramon.
Anyone around here looking for a zizzle machine? I've got a pirates of the Caribbean that I'm looking to get rid of. $20?
Quoted from bluespin:Any mods?
This was bought originally for a high school engineering class to hack on(along with a home edition fireball). Alas, once the kids who started on it graduated, there was no one left who wanted to take over, and after a year, the teacher gave it back to me. The only mod was to put in decent buttons, which made it playable.
onemoresean took it off my hands today. Hopefully I'll get a chance to hang out in his gameroom sometime
I'd second the rave reviews of both Phoenix Games and the Flipper Room. If I lived closer, I'd be a daily fixture.
Quoted from BenLogan:Visited both Phoenix Games and Flipper Room on vacation last Monday and Tuesday nights. You guys really keep your games in amazing condition. Concord is quickly becoming my favorite spot in NorCal for pinball. Everyone is super friendly at both locations as well. Thanks for the fun, you guys. Keep up the awesome work. Happy Thanksgiving, all.
I agree. Chris and Mike run top notch locations.
Getting ready to put one of my Judge Dredd machines up for sale. PM me if you are looking for one.

I'm selling a Judge Dredd in San Ramon...
Quoted from IdahoRealtor:Who else is getting excited about GSPF?!
I was until I realized the days conflicts with high school graduations for some family out of state. *grumble*
Quoted from Cheddar:Those kids are so uncool scheduling graduation for that weekend!
I know, right?! I offered to call the schools and have them move the dates. Freaking people and their non-pinballing ways....
Quoted from jfesler:Anyone know any “local” distributors for Invisiglass, or Stern’s glass?
JJP offers no bulk discounts, and with shipping... it’s worth asking around
You might check with drypaint to see if he has any. I believe he was selling glass before.
I dropped the price on my JD
Quoted from Da-Shaker:Keep posting Flipper Room parties please. I'll make it to one soon. I have a little drive, coming from Grass Valley
They are lots of fun. drypaint throws a good party.
Quoted from Dr-Willy:Yes it was updated as sold
Yeah, I was just hoping that the person who bought it would be interested in selling parts. I'm still looking for some WPC hardware(specifically, the playfield mounting parts). If someone has some of those parts and wants to sell, let me know.
Anyone have WPC era heads that you want to get rid of? It can need work. Just nothing completely trashed. PM me if you do. Thanks.
Quoted from Cheddar:Anyone have a Gottlieb Count-Down they'd like to sell?
Ah, you just missed one down here that sold last night for $350.
Quoted from adol75:I was wondering if anyone ever considered doing some local temporary trades and have some feedback or thoughts on it.
I have. Right now, I've got a Judge Dredd that my wife doesn't like much. I've thought about trading it temporarily with a friend. Never got around to it.
Anyone in Norcal interested in perhaps trading something for my Judge Dredd? It's not perfect, but I'm not expecting a perfect machine in trade. If it sounds interesting, PM me.
Quoted from CCPL:Selling a Hook for a friend, located in Folsom.
My friend Nicole contacted him about this game, I believe. She's super stoked. It would be her first one.
Decided to sell my Judge Dredd. $2700, in San Ramon. I'll post a pinside ad later. PM me in the meantime.
Putting JD back up.
Updated my JD ad with some new pics.
I have some random stuff to give away if anyone wants it before it gets tossed.
- a mostly gone Gulfstream backglass. I suppose you could try to repaint it(and it might actually be nicer since there is very little to have to color match). But, I imagine the only real use is if someone needs the glass. No trim, just the glass.
- the backbox from that gulfstream. It had some damage on the top front board.
- I will probably have some Gottlieb and Williams/Bally legs soon. Need to figure out what I have and what I want to keep. Assume that they need to be refinished.
PM me if any of this is somehow something you might want.
Free to good home: the Gulfstream head I mentioned before.

You could always buy an overlay and actually fix it up. Just a thought: ebay.com link: BALLY SPACE INVADERS Pinball Machine Playfield Overlay
Quoted from drypaint:I will take it Mike. Dan just got one and may need some parts.
So let it be written, so let it be done.
Quoted from Cheddar:Thinking of adding a Joker Poker or a Count-Down to.the collection. Anybody have 1 they are thinking of selling
Just missed mine. Mine ended up at the Flipper Room.
I've got a Kooky Carnival that was used for spare parts before I got it. The playfield, cabinet and translite are all in good shape(cab has a big scratch on one side). The wiring harness is intact. It uses a lot of figurines from Simpsons Pinball Party. Before I unsolder the harness and part out the playfield, I figured I would offer it to someone who might want it for a project. I could see making a kids game out of it with a raspberry pi. PM me if you want it or want parts from it if no one takes it as a whole.
EDIT: Added a few more pics.

Got a Simpsons Kooky Carnival playfield up for sale. Got a bunch of other parts up for sale, so let me know if you are looking for anything.
Sorry to hear about Larry's passing. I don't think that we met, but I saw a Scared Stiff that he did and it was phenomenal.
=====
If anyone needs a pair of high voltage DMDs(one from a Stern and one from a Sega), I'm asking for $120 for both. Both were working when pulled. I tossed the Stern into a WPC to test and it looked ok. The other one came out of a Sega Jurassic Park. It was looking a bit weak, but I suspect it was a power supply issue. PM me if you need one or both.
Quoted from SimpleSam:You need the artist to provide a description/roadmap of the characters.
Flash Gordon, Gorgar, Baby Pacman, Theater of Magic, Skateball, Monster Bash and Attack from Mars, from what I see
Yeah, plenty of people go to arcades still. Start a league night and submit the scores to IFPA. You won't get rich by any means, but they can turn a profit. I recommend hitting up some arcades in the area and talk to the owners. I live in the East Bay, so my preferred spots are Phoenix Games and The Flipper Room. I used to be in the East Bay Pinball League(still am, but it is on ice for now).
Really, you should think about things like maintenance and upkeep in addition to the space and the pins. A machine at home is likely undergoing a lot less abuse than the same machine in an arcade. If you have a bunch of pins, there will be broken shit all the time. Be prepared for that.
Of course, this is all pre-COVID recommendations. Everything hinges on stomping that shit out now. Now is a tough time for arcades, but it will get better(and if it doesn't, you'll have bigger problems than the coin you dropped on some games, eh?).
Anyway, good luck, whatever your decision.
Quoted from Flipper_McGavin:How often do "clunker" 90's era Williams/Bally machines come up for sale? Looking for one to restore, primarily one of the more sought after machines. It feels like they have almost all been restored by now.
i see them fairly regularly, but then I go for rebuilding beat up pins. I've got a Flintstones that I'm cleaning up right now, and a Scared Stiff and BSD coming in next month. I bought and sold a pair of Judge Dredd machines a couple of years back. Just gotta keep your eyes peeled. Or hit me up when I'm done playing with one of mine

Not that I mind the PMs, but just for information since several people asked. SS is my grail pin, and it will be bolted to the floor when it arrives. BSD will probably float around for a bit before I decide whether to sell it or not.
Anyone needing a WPC cab? I have a Whitewater cab that I was going to use that is no longer needed. It's basically brand new. Peel off the decals and have some fun. $150. PM for pics, or someone doesn't grab it first, I'll post an ad.
EDIT: Had a meeting get canceled, so I've got a few minutes to post some pics from the storage.
Nothing but the cab goes with this. The Scared Stiff playfield, pf mounting hardware, lockdown assembly and coin door aren't for sale(well, not for this price, at least).
Also, if it sells here, I'll make a pinside donation.

It was going to be my Scared Stiff built from scratch....but then I've got one coming from Italy. And I've got a full cab that I'll be buying from a Creature(it will need some TLC), so that's still an option. I just don't need this one anymore, and I'm paying to store it.
It was purchased from one of the virtual pin places by someone else for a WH2O restore. I think that the front panel was cut a hair too wide and the original resto was using extra heavy chrome which fit too tight, so he got another one made. Stock parts fit just fine as you can see from the pics. For this price, it's a great opportunity to replace that old WPC cab.
Quoted from Flipper_McGavin:I have been looking for a White Water to restore. Is this as-is cabinet even possible to turn into a functioning machine? I wouldn't even know if all the parts are available to buy, let alone the wiring harness. I've completely restored a couple machines so far, but this would be next level lol.
Well, it would likely be cheaper to find one, unless you have most of the parts already. In my case, I have most of a Scared Stiff already.
I've got a Stern Whitestar DMD, with the display board, for sale. I'd prefer to sell locally, to avoid shipping damage. I've also got a Stern Whitestar MPU for sale. Make me an offer.
If anyone local needs ticket redemption parts, I've got some coin acceptors and ticket dispensers for sale. I will also have the cabinet available from a Stern Monopoly ticket redemption game. Some nice looking art work, if you want it. That's free for local pickup. I'll charge a couple of bucks to box it up for shipping.
Selling off some spare parts. I also have a Whitestar era DMD that you could have for $20. Free pickup for locals.
I've got a Darling that I will be selling soon. I'm not an EM guy, so all I know so far is that it turns on, some reels start turning and then it blows a fuse. If someone local is looking for a cheap EM project, let me know. It's not in my garage, so I will put up an official ad as soon as I get it back here(with pics and a cut for pinside).
Quoted from Markharris2000:I have never even heard of this pin, but it looks beautiful and the toy gimmick looks very unique. I had to look it up. Only 1600 units, WPC95. I thought I knew everything.... 8-)
It's a fun game. I like the bash toy, but it has a lot of other little perks. For example, the KO "charge ups" and the revolving "skill shot" values. I generally shoot for the fists on my opening shot, to make KOs easier.
Can't be fake. I just got a reply back. I asked about the price, and he dropped it to $2500 for me! We're going to meet on a remote country road later tonight after he gets off work at midnight. He says he has a few buddies to help move, so I should come alone. And get this! He asked what other games are on my most wanted list, and he has them all!! Says I can have them for an additional $1500 each!
(do I need to tag this with sarcasm?)
Quoted from bluespin:Do you have to live in California to get this deal, or do I qualify as an expatriate? I’m jealous.
I think for the right amount, he'll meet you anywhere!
A quick video of the game from tonight.
Quoted from Markharris2000:Has anyone up here in the SF area recently found a powder coating shop that is open for small jobs? With COVID, it seems like a number of shops are closed or not taking on small jobs. I have some wire ramps that I am thinking of powder coating.
I was getting a quote for some powder coated aprons, and there was a powder coater in Dublin who had a decent price.I was going to throw some old parts at him to see what his quality was like. If go through with it, I'll post a review. Can't remember the name, but he came up on a google search not too long ago.
Quoted from Jerryuop:Do you know of any pinball leagues in the Brentwood area?
There are a couple of leagues that run out of the Concord area. They play at Phoenix games and The Flipper Room. Nothing is going right now, AFAIK.
Quoted from hawkmoon:That-one -dude,Thank-you sir, thats a relief!!! He's my Son
I just looked it up. I didn't have anything to do with it. Best of luck to your family.

At the bottom of the picture section, there should be a button saying sorting order or something like that. Enable it to move them, disable it to lock them down.
Anyone headed down to the LA area with some room to bring a machine back up this way in the next week? If so, PM me.
Quoted from twofastxtreme:Anyone interested in these? Minor flaking. Free.
drypaint probably would want these
Selling a WPC89 driver board. It will show up at the TFR swap meet if someone doesn't grab it first.
Quoted from jbovenzi:I brought some to The Flipper Room swap meet, but no one took me up on the $5 for old leg deal.
I brought a pile of legs that were at best offer for the whole lot. Never had anyone even ask
Quoted from Pinbub:I'm looking for EM repair in Modesto. I can transport the game for repair or have someone come out. It's a Top Score with the score motor continuously running.
Talk to @jethrop
I imagine you will need to deliver it to the south bay, but he does good work.
Every time I've played on location in the last year, I've worn a mask. Every time I've moved a game outside of my house, I've worn a mask. My wife and I are cyclists, and I often ride up and down hills with a mask on. The only change I've noticed is that no one in my house has gotten a cold or flu for 2 years running.
As far as I'm concerned, I was going to skip CAX because of the crowd density. If the mask mandate thins the crowd enough, I might change my mind.
Quoted from Concretehardt:but being an avid cyclist myself I can’t for the life of me understand riding a bike around with a mask on especially considering that I am vaccinated and assume you are too.
Stop signs and stop lights, my friend. When I roll up on a group of strangers huffing and puffing(runners and cyclists alike, since I tend to ride on multi use trails), I am going to do my best to limit sharing air. And it's easier to keep it on when I'm pushing than to flip it on and off. If I'm on an open road where I won't get bunched up with anyone for long stretches, the mask comes off.
Quoted from Concretehardt:Fair enough, i don’t live in a big city so i have the luxury of sharing less air here
heh, yeah, here in the Bay area, I can choose to share a multi-use trail or have motorists trying to kill me(unless I'm on a mountain bike). My wife and I have discussed mounting front and rear gopro cameras on our bikes so that we at least get some footage of the inevitable impact.
I'm about to put my Black Knight 2000 up for sale. It's at a friend's house, so I'll need to grab some pics. Plays good, playfield looks good, cabinet has some spots that need TLC. I have decals for the head. Currently located in Concord. PM me. I'll list it later in the marketplace once I grab some pictures.
Some other machines for sale.
Quoted from AD72:Any recommendations for a service to fix this Triple Strike EM from 75. A friend in Davis has two machines and he wants one working one out of the two. It is working sporadically. Sometimes will play a ball and other times it will get stuck firing solenoids.
Hit up @jethrop. He's in the south bay and does good work.
Quoted from bluespin:With genuine Corinthian leather?
If that is what it takes, I'll happily throw some on the glass for a premium
I'll make an ad later.
Quoted from Cheddar:You didn't show the topper, that's a crucial part!
Problem solved!
20220104_154717 (resized).jpgAs promised.
If someone is looking for a Comet, I'm getting ready to put one up for sale. I'll have an ad up once I get some pics, but you can see is it in Phoenix Games in Concord.
Quoted from MyParagon1979:Is there any place locally to buy pinball supplies? I find myself desiring different rubber sizes based on fit and color, and I’m tired of spending high shipping costs for a few items.
Pinball Pirate is in Benicia. I think there are a few repair guys who might sell parts in the south Bay. Not sure.
Quoted from ZooDude:Chris doesn't sell parts, he fixes games and is a stern and jjp dealer.
Ah, I didn't know that.
Quoted from MyParagon1979:Danville, ca
I'm over in San Ramon. You can always ping me with specific bits you might need on short notice. I burnt through a lot of my rubbers recently, but I usually have something stashed away for my maniacal experiments.
Quoted from andre060:News to me if so - that would be amazing.
Isn't Pinball Panic down that way in Morgan Hill? Again, I'm just throwing out local names, no idea if they sell parts as well.
Quoted from MyParagon1979:I need to go home after work and confirm the sizes I need, but I think it’s one 2 in and one 2 1/2 in white. I’ll update later.
I've got those. I sent a pm. You can come grab them.
Anyone in the area headed to the Texas Pinball Festival in March who might have room for a populated playfield?
Quoted from ThatOneDude:Anyone in the area headed to the Texas Pinball Festival in March who might have room for a populated playfield?
Bump.
Anyone interested in a running Hollywood Heat project? Just swapped the MPU out for a LISY80 board. Missing the translite and music isn't playing, though sounds work. I was going to do an MPF theme with Miami Vice(LISY80 lets you switch between original rules and your homebrew, so go crazy), but I'm running low on time and space. I'll have an ad up once I get a chance to snap some pictures.
If anyone is building a homebrew and needs a P3-ROC, I have one for sale. Never used. You can pick it up locally and save some coin.
Thanks for working with me to make it a painless sale.
I agree that pinballboy is great to work with!
Anyone in the bay area have a pair of Williams saucer mechs squirrelled away? I'm looking for a set like used in a Gulfstream, though I'm not picky. I have a pair of Bally saucer mechs that I can trade, or we can talk price.
Anyone need a Williams system 7 cabinet for a project? It could use some light repair, but I don't have room to store it right now. Would be a good virtual pin cabinet. Originally from a Laser Cue. PM me if you are interested. I have the head too, if you want to make a deal. I'll make a pinside donation if I sell it here before I get some more pics and put up an ad.

Dropped the price on my Space Station project. I won't relink it, since it's right up there a few posts ^^
Quoted from SFBP36:Sean thats so kind of you. I'd hate though for you to have to drop the trough etc just to get to them. It's not that big of a deal, just hoping for the off chance that someone has a set kicking around. Its much appreciated though.
Is there any difference between the one you linked and the Great Lakes trough set?
Quoted from SFBP36:Thanks again, Mike. Awesome meeting you!
No problem! Nice meeting you, too!
Quoted from GeekedOnPinball:Anyone interested in a minor project Freddy?
Someone was looking for one in the larger California thread a few days ago. pinballboy if I'm not mistaken.
I took a look. None of the remaining machines were booting. They were asking one 1k or so for most. They were asking 2.2k for a spider man. Not sure if they ended up making deals.
I was going to build a homebrew-esque project based on Top Gun out of either an F-14 or Goldwings fully populated playfield. I have both, and a cabinet to go with it(not a match to either, but it is not a project to build original anyway).
The idea was to either use an APC or Lisy MPU(respectively), or build a harness to adapt the F-14 to a cobrapin, and then jump right into building a Mission Pinball Framework project for it. I wanted to do it to show how fast you can realistically take a populated playfield to a flipping game with new rules.
But, that is a ways out. I've got a more intensive homebrew to finish in the next 2 months, and some shop work that I have to do on my other pins that has fallen off the radar. So, I'm looking for someone(preferably in NorCal) who wants to jump on such a project. It will be relatively cheap, and I'm available to help get you started.
I'm not looking to part things out, as I'd rather leave it in storage for a rainy day. So, if that sounds fun, hit me up.
EDIT: it's entirely possible that you could get this done in time for Golden State. It would be awesome to have someone else join us in the homebrew section!
Quoted from arcadenerd925:I used to belong to this group in Livermore.
Ah, Robot Garden. Been there several times over the last few years, just never pulled the trigger on joining.
Quoted from drypaint:*** Saturday we are looking to have some vendors or possibly even a swap meet like we did in July 2021. Are any of the pinball swap meet people interested in this?
Always interested in a swap meet. I'll see what I have to sell.
Anyone bringing anything interesting to the swap meet? I can't make it, but might have a buddy there....
Did someone here pick up that f-14 cabinet that sold on Craigslist a few months ago? If you did, and it's intact, I might be interested in buying or swapping for it.
