Are there any pinball parts retailers in Nor Cal or NV that do over the counter sales? I thought I had read/heard about one but I couldn't fine one by Googling. I'm thinking of purchasing some playfield glass. The glass isn't bad enough that I want to pay to ship the glass but if there was some that I could pick up in person for a good price, I might do so. Thanks,

Why not just get it from a local glass shop?

I hadn't thought about that; seems pretty obvious. Thanks!

Pinball Life sells two sheets of standard tempered glass for $79 plus the cost of ups or fedex ground.

This is what started my interest as I was at pinball life for other items. The two pack increases shipping on my order by $33 so the total is $113 ($56 each). They also offer single sheets for pick up for $30; picking up is substantially cheaper so, if convenient, would definitely be worthwhile.

Pinball Pirate in Benecia stocks standard playfield glass, $79.
(At one time Bay Area Amusements sold glass, and now they're in your neighborhood, but I can't find it on their website.)

Found it. They're in Sparks, I guess I can call and get their warehouse address as they have a local pickup option in their shipping choices. Only $25!

Check out this awesome image that Brian Allen created for The Flipper Room. Available in 14x20 signed and number prints on paper (only 50 made). Or we had 25 translates made. You can purchase via our website or at the gallery/arcade. These pictures from my phone are not very good.

I'm in, I just ordered a translite. You need the artist to provide a description/roadmap of the characters. Not all of us are that conversant in pinball graphics.

Hahaha. Come on man, my three little girls got them all... lol. I wish I would have seen this before I shipped it earlier. I would have made something for you and put it in the tube.
    Gorgar
    Flash Gordon
    Theater of Magic
Skateball (with a nod to Radical!)
    Meteor
    Baby Pac-Man
    Attack from Mars
    Monster Bash
    Thanks for your support!

    Tough crowd!

I'll end up building a light box for it and putting it in my game room. It's going to look awesome and I can help support a local business!

    Quoted from drypaint:

I would love a picture of it hanging when done, if you wouldn't mind me sharing on social media.

It might be a while before I complete that although I did order some of the needed supplies today.

I got the translite and put it in one of my existing frames. It's not the correct size but I got a chance to see how it will look once backlit. It looks stunning! The artwork really pops.

I had a few translites on hand and compared it to them. The plastic it is printed on is noticeably thinner than the Whirlwind and Taxi, and is similar to the Sega Godzilla. The thinner plastic should work out well and be easier to work with when I'm doing the framing. One other thing that hadn't occurred to me is that this is an art poster so it is oriented up and down rather than left to right like a pinball backglass.

Overall, it's a beautiful translite and will look great in my gameroom once framed.

Finally got it done and it looks great! I am converting half of my garage to a game room as soon as my son moves out and takes all of his stuff. The back wall will have another (Taxi) translite when it is done. Unfortunately, the garage door track obscures the last few translites although it is not as bad when the door is closed. I have a T2 that I will move into the garage and am looking for a third pin. There are also a few Bally electro-mechanical slot machines, a bar that will be casino themed, a stereo, and a tv.

    Quoted from zahner:

I commute into Modesto daily from Sacramento. What part of Modesto harbors this dive bar?

Yelp shows it on McHenry near Morris. I've driven by it a million times when I used to live in Modesto but I have never been in. Pinballmap shows that they have five machines including Black Rose, Deadpool pro, Iron Maiden pro, and Star Wars.

Ok one blade each - kidding.
Whoever pm me to pick up takes em.
*edit* blades are sold - thx!**

Any Reno, NV casinos have pins?
It's been a while since I've been there and IDK if any of have pins.

In addition to Press Start that has been mentioned, Playfield 76 is also a nice place for pinball and it is within easy walking distance of the downtown casinos. I like to compare the two based on their focus. Press Start is an arcade that has a bar while Playfield 76 is a bar that has arcade games.

Just put my Cyclone up for sale in Reno. It's a nice scenic drive this time of year plus you can get a little gambling in! https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/ad/172801

We have a mix of other games as well.[quoted image]

That's a really nice lineup. The only game that you are missing (that would actually generate revenue) is Attack From Mars. I'm partial to the 90's DMD games and really like CV and my wife's favorite is TAF. I've never seen a Baywatch in the wild and hope to play it some day.
