I'm looking for a TAF or a Williams IJ if anyone knows of one in the area.

    #1335 10 years ago
    Quoted from scasey:

I have a TAFG, but it is a boat load of money being only 1 of 200 made.

I thought there were 1000 made.

Anyone have a spare IRL540N in the SJ area?

I fried mine in my LOTR. I replaced it with the NTE part from Fry's but the flipper is weak. I think the NTE part may be weaker. All the good stores are closed until Tuesday.

Thanks Sean! Put it in and works like a charm.

I'm in the market for a TZ, TAF or PoTC if anyone has one for sale. I'm in San Jose.

    Quoted from TronGuy:

What am I missing with potc? I played it on location for about 30 minutes and vowed never to play the game again.

Good toys, fairly deep rules, lots of family appeal.

That pic wasn't there earlier lol.

I don't get the point of that troll.

Anyone have a spare sheet of standard PF glass? BAA is out and says it will be a couple months.

Or, if you don't and need some, I'm about to order from PBL and would love to combine shipping.

    Quoted from dsuperbee:

Any local glass place will get them for you, so long as you know dimensions

Yeah, I called a couple and their price was the same as having them shipped from PBL, which seemed safer.

I just listed my POTC for trade:

I'm mainly interested in trades for AC/DC or ToM.

I use a closet dowel cut into 3 sections. Works great. I think I've read that this is how they moved the rocks for Stonehenge.

    Quoted from lb1:

    Steve / Sean,
Thanks so much for the info and the offer. I am still debatting what the best avenue is. In 5 or so years, this is the second time I have an issue with a transistor so it's not like it's super common, but it would be nice to do it in-house without extended down time. It might be worth investing in a better soldering iron and practicing on some old boards.

I'm in San Jose and also free today and could do the swap. I'm no master but I've done this exact fix on my LOTR.

A better iron is definitely worth it. Then take apart some old toaster or anything with a board and practice.
