Hi all. I'm selling my Eight Ball. It's my first time selling on the marketplace, so if you need a few pinsiders as references I can hit some people up.

Looking to possibly get all the legs and the trim for a Williams pinball machine. Before I buy all the parts new, I figured I’d ask here to see if anyone local has any parts they might sell. I’m looking for a set of four legs, the two side rails, the lockdown bar, the two hinges, one coin door, and the bolts that are in good shape. No problem if not. Just wanted to check. Thank you.

    I have a lockdown bar. $10

Thanks for the offer and information. I’m considering getting a set to have someone powder coat. I might end up just getting a set of “raw” hardware from pinball life, as another pinsider suggested. I was thinking of bringing it all to West Coast Powder Coaters or even sending to a place in Ohio that another pinsider referred me to. They will powder coat all hardware and ship it back for $200. Anyone have any experience with local powder coaters? I welcome any thoughts. Thanks again.

    #6257 3 years ago

I had a quote for powder coating those items here in Sacramento, and it was more expensive than to ship it out to another State and have it done there. Not only was the labor more expensive, but CA charges some sort of hazardous waste fee for powder coating.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm really not sure I can beat having someone do it and ship it all back to me for $200.

    #6259 3 years ago

You might try Valley Custom Powder Coating in Lathrop, CA, which is just south of Stockton. They had reasonable prices when I used them.

    #6260 3 years ago

I got it mixed up, I was thinking brass plating. That was still cheaper for me to have done online.

Don't forget your cost to ship it to them... Armor is heavy & bulky to ship!

I've had 5-6 sets of armor done at MAAS Brothers in Livermore. They charge approx $150 set. Set being: 4 legs, glass lock-down bar, 2 side rails, 2 back-box hinges and about a dozen bolts. This is excluding coin door, I've not done any coin doors.

NOTE: They are temporarily closed due to Covid-19

Thanks, Kerry. I actually emailed them, and they did confirm they were closed. They said without seeing the parts, they estimated $400 to do it all. Maybe I can just bring stuff over to them in the future whenever that happens. Thanks again.

    #6263 3 years ago

$400 over the phone? Are you including coin door? speaker panel? metal ramps? score-card arch?

All I know is: my 5-6 games were approx $150 each for what I had done. Those were in gloss black and a set in gloss red.

They also do the 2-tone textured finish. It's similar to the hammered look. What I really liked is their display wall. When you enter, they must have 200-300 aluminum soda cans all Powder Coated the colors and textures they can do. You can take the can(s) outside to get a sun light view.

But: they are temp closed bcuz of Covid-19

    #6264 3 years ago

I paid $150 for gloss black lockdown, side rails, hinges, and habitrails on Addams. Valley Powdercoating. Black is cheapest. All other colors require them to thoroughly clean out their equipment.

    #6265 3 years ago

I called Maas brothers last week, and they appear to open for commercial work. The guy said they weren't open to the public, and not taking on private work. Not exactly sure why, but thats what I was told. He had no idea when they would open up to the masses. I like the idea of doing the work locally, but that doesn't appear to be an option at the moment.

    #6266 3 years ago

I got a quote from Ruben Soto at Fusion Coatings a few months ago. Livermore I think. I wanted to do some powder coating some brackets and aprons. Basically time & materials. $125 min order. Week turn-around.

I had asked about a candy blue/blue chrome color, so that might have increased the price. I only asked MAAS about the legs, side rails, lockdown bar, hinges, and bolts.

Thank you all for the help, feedback, and recommendations. I really appreciate it.

Does anybody have an Elvira 3 they are looking to sell or trade?

    #6269 3 years ago

Hey everyone, I just posted my family owned JunkYard for sale. Would also consider trades for creepy/horror themed pins: TAF, TWD, BSD, Frankenstein, any Elvira, etc. Might consider other 90's Williams DMD games as well and can add cash depending the pin.

Anyone needing a WPC cab? I have a Whitewater cab that I was going to use that is no longer needed. It's basically brand new. Peel off the decals and have some fun. $150. PM for pics, or someone doesn't grab it first, I'll post an ad.
EDIT: Had a meeting get canceled, so I've got a few minutes to post some pics from the storage.
Nothing but the cab goes with this. The Scared Stiff playfield, pf mounting hardware, lockdown assembly and coin door aren't for sale(well, not for this price, at least).
Also, if it sells here, I'll make a pinside donation.

Man that is a deal - never the right time is it....I just restored a WH2O

    #6279 3 years ago

It was going to be my Scared Stiff built from scratch....but then I've got one coming from Italy. And I've got a full cab that I'll be buying from a Creature(it will need some TLC), so that's still an option. I just don't need this one anymore, and I'm paying to store it.
It was purchased from one of the virtual pin places by someone else for a WH2O restore. I think that the front panel was cut a hair too wide and the original resto was using extra heavy chrome which fit too tight, so he got another one made. Stock parts fit just fine as you can see from the pics. For this price, it's a great opportunity to replace that old WPC cab.

I have been looking for a White Water to restore. Is this as-is cabinet even possible to turn into a functioning machine? I wouldn't even know if all the parts are available to buy, let alone the wiring harness. I've completely restored a couple machines so far, but this would be next level lol.

Well, it would likely be cheaper to find one, unless you have most of the parts already. In my case, I have most of a Scared Stiff already.

Located just north of Santa Rosa. We're prepared to evacuate if the fire gets
closer. One friend lost everything, just making it out with family and dog.

PM sent! I have a WPC cab in storage that I was going to use for a project, but it's been years and I've come to the realization it's not gonna happen anytime soon and I should probably just sell it and have the space back.

It's exciting times in the hobby with so many new games coming every year - I blame that for lack of progress on my project! Maybe one day in the future all the pinball companies will be out of business and we'll spend all our time working on old games and projects, but right now I'm having way too much fun on new games to work on projects
