    Just a suggestion. It may help if you say what game this is meaning... If its a NIB game its very possible the adjustments suggested will need to be addressed. If however its an older game that has been owned several times I would doubt the cabinet (filing it out) would be the cause as something must have moved out of adjustment in transport etc before making it to you. Doubtful an older game had this issue through multiple owners. Adjust playfield hangers, check alignment and mount of auto-shooter, adjust plunger plate, see if cabinet is possibly racked, etc etc before you start cutting out wood that can't be replaced. Good luck you will find your alignment!

    And FYI, you do need to also remove the (2) 3/8" wood screws to adjust shown to adjust the shooter plate.
