Hello all,
This is my 7th pinball but my first solid state. I purchased a non-working Nightriders. Seller picked it up in a package lot of a bunch of games and flipped it without touching it. He purchased it with the understanding that it had a power supply issue. I brought it home and the back lights work, some of the playfield Lights work, and the solenoid for the Ball shooter is stuck on. I’ve looked at the Atari manuals and tested the voltages and they all seem good. I’m at the point now where I’m willing to send the boards in to get checked out (there is a seller on eBay that refurbishes them)
My question is twofold.
Question 1: Any dummy checks I am missing or is it possible I’m going down the wrong road thinking it’s the boards?

Question 2: I reached out to the seller about a week ago and never heard back. I would Prefer to have some communication before pressing the buy button. Does anybody on the forum know of someone else that provides the same service? I know support is scarce on the Ataris and that they are quite fickle.

Thanks in advance for any advice you have!

If it is the guy with the ebay name Houstonpinball, he does good work. I sent a couple of Atari boards to him last year to be rebuilt. At one time he was also working on a replacement board kit. That might also be an option.
