I'm probably not any help but I do know that on my JP the potentiometer down in the coin door is going out and if I wiggle it around sometimes I'll lose most of my sound.. Probably a real long shot and by the looks of your other test I'm sure you have thought of this, but hey who knows? Maybe I'll get lucky and help someone. ?
I'm sure someone with more knowledge than I will speak up and help you out.
All I know to do is follow the repair guides that come up if I Google " Data East Repair Guide". In those it talks about a 7905C voltage regulator that regulates the -12 volts down to -5 volts and how it will cause issues if the regulator is shot..
