Preach it! I only stick warm white frosted LEDs in my EM to protect the paint and inserts from any further damage.

Any issues with replacing all of the playfield lamps with some warm white LEDs to keep things nice and cool behind the artwork and under tight spaces? I just did my entire Big Deal (1977) with warm white LEDs (save the three under the upper lane guides that are now cool white to make the white caps really pop) I was amazed how hot the lamps were in some places. The LEDs also make the playfield inserts look great too. A quick calculation of the power requirements takes the power from 126 Watts down to just 10 if all 80 lamps are replaced.

I just ordered my last 20 pieces of cool whites (#44) LEDS from Titan. These are only going under the inserts. I am amazed how they make yellow inserts look just like the playfield's yellow paint and the white inserts look really white. I keep thinking how would the Williams company have used these different shades of white if they existed back in the 1970s. With this in the back of my mind, the artwork and playfield go warm white, the three upper lane guide covers get cool white, all inserts and pop bumpers get cool white. It looks great and does not fall into the "rainbow puke" zone.
