If one wants to puke it out, they could use the solo album color scheme.

Quoted from PinballManiac40:You no longer can see the piece of shit. I mean that character, Hanky.
[quoted image]
It makes a difference all right.
115 bulbs? It's amazing the time that people spend to make their games look like shit.
Quoted from mrossman5:Even the shadow doesn’t know why someone would do this.
[quoted image]
One of the best comments ever! Took me a minute.....
Quoted from The_Pump_House:My brothers first pin. Is he infected?
IRL it’s a lot easier to see the ball at the top of the play field than before
[quoted image]
He hasn't gone full tits up yet, but looks like it's time for a family intervention.
Quoted from Saltimbanco:Brace yourselves, puking a pin is probably 20% off right now!..
Exactly. We're going to have a lot of work to do in a few months.
Quoted from CaptainNeo:It would feel like you had chlorine poured in your eyes to try and see on that game.
Double whammy for Neo since we know how much he loves FT to begin with....
Quoted from transprtr4u:The Brightlight Zone
[quoted image]
I was going to post it. Between the blue leds and the toys all over the pf, how can one even play pinball?
Quoted from CaptainNeo:that question can be asked for nearly every game in this thread.
The dumbest piece of plastic in that game is the car above the pops. I watch closley when my ball is in there to see if I need to nudge if it slips down the left side. That car takes your viewing away from that.
I know this isn't the "plastic shit toy" thread, but why?
I was thinking the other day while driving to work...maybe we are being to hard on these works of art. I mean - do I have the skills to pukify a game as good as some as these are? Maybe it does take a keen eye, an artistic skill, or just deep study. I know I don't have the skills to pull off anything as ugly as that Hurricane the other day.
If I had the time, I could try and take the challenge up to see if I could puke one of my games up. Maybe it isn't as easy as I think it is and we are being to harsh.
Thoughts?
Quoted from dtrimberger:Hate because I'm a sucker for lighting and am pretty sure my Star Trek is a 5 Star Puke contender (I searched the topic pics and don't think I've been called out on here yet, no way I'm letting you folks have at it).
Uhhhh, inject those LEDs into my veins.....
Offer it up and just look at it as construction criticism, or as a coaching opportunity.
Quoted from Saltimbanco:Now, look at that beautiful, gorgeous art on Fathom!!!!! I mean, wow!!!!
So, why being into non-puking: because I don't want to wash out the playfield art, I want to get the original feel of the game, to understand why the colors/effects were chosen in the first place and how everything is suppose to show during game play. I appreciate the piece of art each game is when you first look at it, without even switching it on.
Exactly - If people puke their games, why should the pinball manufacture even bother coloring the pf anyway? Just use black and white drawings as the only color you see with LEDs is the hazy shade of shit.
Quoted from snowy_owl:Probably a good thing we can't see the playfield
[quoted image]
I didn't know they made a game called "Erminator".
Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:Just brought home a new paitient for rehabilitation. Will conduct surgery and provide a status update once patient has recovered.
[quoted image]
That patient is critical....
Quoted from snowy_owl:Escape from the barf world
[quoted image][quoted image]
I think that's a Lost World, but I can't tell cause I can't see shit.
Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:Just completed surgery on this Twilight Zone. So much better. The middle picture shows the bulbs I pulled out of this. There were over 15... THATS 15, color changing bulbs in this. There were pink, yellow, green, and purple flashers. The inserts were lit with a random assortment of colors... including pink! WTF were they thinking!!![quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Nice job Doctor, looks like this patient is going to pull through.
Quoted from Jason43:I just saw that on Facebook. Dude was pleased with himself. Good for him, I guess.
God bless him.
Quoted from mrossman5:Not even sure what to say about this one...
[quoted image]
3D Man.
Quoted from Darscot:Maybe you need to talk to the people organizing your tournaments and leagues. Who gives a shit how good other people are on their own machines. If you guys want to be all hard core in your tournament all the power to you. Every event I have ever been to there is some lunatic raging, throwing a tantrum and beating the shit out of a machine in the tournament room. I have never once thought that seems like fun, quite the opposite actually. If I take my pins to an event I'm going to load up the Color GI just to keep the psychos away.
Well, since you use blues and red to hide imperfect Pfs, maybe no one will want to play your games at an event anyway.
Quoted from jellikit:Ugly Harry, do feel lucky punk? The error codes are a nice touch.
[quoted image]
A man has got to know his limitations.
Quoted from Jason43:Speaking of...
The purple really brings out Stallone's chin.
[quoted image]
Snipes looks like satan....
Quoted from CaptainNeo:seems all the remakes are pre-puked. but I think you can turn it off. from what i'm told. unfortunately, it's turned on at the factory.
The MB was horrible.
Quoted from 72Devilz:Pirates of the RGB
[quoted image]
It's like a Mario Bava film.
Quoted from frenchmarky:If they just stayed away from blue these wouldn't be quite so horrible (still horrible though), it's like digital cameras can't handle the blue very well and the pics have a blown-out overloaded blue fog that washes out any detail around it. Do they look like that in person too? I've never actually seen one that's been LED'd with the crazy colors with my own eyes.
Yeah, they look just as bad in person.
Quoted from PinballManiac40:The Shadow knows......you can't see him.
[quoted image]
That translite is pretty wicked though!
Quoted from LesManley:I agree and I am not one who likes alternate translights pretty much ever. One thing I am not a fan of though is that black The Shadow font on it, looks out of place. Should have matched the green and white fade colors from the front of the cabinet.
I think I'm going to pick up the one with the green font, which is lifted directly from the Pulps. I think the girls are too. I have a few of the old pulps, and the art is incredible....and I'm not one either that likes alt translights. The other one that most pinsiders have looks cool as a stand alone, but doesn't fit with the art on the pf/cab. Clashes too much.
Quoted from roffels:Sorry to the pinsider that shared this game, but if this doesn't fit in here, I don't know what would.
[quoted image]
Love the little blue in the far left outline. Yeah ---makes sense to only put blue in that corner. It's so easy to make a masterpiece.... I guess Michelangelo wasn't the shift after all.
Quoted from Stebel:pop bumper area has a picture of a scuba diver and shark.
ah...I even have the game and never noticed it.
Quoted from roffels:I'm sorry for my crimes. I colorbombed a Rollergames ...
[quoted image]
Purple Pain.
Quoted from PinballManiac40:Blue-stein.[quoted image][quoted image]
But it "pops"!
Quoted from jorro:Count Purpula, judging by his face he only eats vegitarians
Or the led job makes him sick
[quoted image][quoted image]
He looks like one of the old cartoon characters after they tried tobacco for the first time....
Quoted from jellikit:They can't hear you in space, let's hope they can't see you either.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Nice!
Quoted from Jason43:Somewhere in China, there's a led factory worker who put his kids through college just from the blue leds produced for this thread.
More like the CCP were able to build another reactor somewhere.
Quoted from Vino:Hot Pink in the grotto
[quoted image]
I saw that earlier today and knew it would end up here.
Quoted from koji:You show us every led you've got...
(finish the song?)
[quoted image]
KISS meets the Blue Phantom.
Quoted from transprtr4u:On a roll today ...
Reason for selling ... lost vision
[quoted image]
I own an Avatar, and it's such a beautiful pin. I don't see how you can enjoy the beauty of the pf while blinked by blue hue.
Quoted from transprtr4u:When in the game is not enough !
[quoted image]
Everytime I think we make progress, stuff like this comes up that shows we are losing ground.
