So earlier I said my bosses were all about the colored light kits lately. These are pictures of the worst offender. I actually had to alter the kit for the backglass, because as intended it looked like some ghostbusters shit, with a weirdly green sky in the background. The fact that you can't see much of the playfield is a plus, since it is pretty ugly!

someone posted this game on Facebook. This is a perfect example on a side by side comparison, on how shitty it is to try and see with colored GI's vs White. This is a tutorial picture if i've ever seen one.

A recent sale on Ebay. Just a mess on so many levels. Don't do this to classic EM's.
- Lighting score reels in any color but white just doesn't make sense. And why is it usually purple as the color of choice?
- Bright white LEDs have serious hotspots. Use the most diffuse and soft LEDs you can if you must: Frosted lens, low output, retro warm white etc...
s-l1600 (resized).jpgThat actually hurts to look at. Blue is difficult to see (because the human eye picks it up in its periphery better than in center view)... but that hot fuchsia is actually painful.
