Hop on over to the Getaway thread, and you'll find some tasteful LED setups.
Green under the plastics - no way. Way too green and unnatural (there are other colors on the plastics besides green, you know). I went with the cool whites, but I like the brightness. Can always go old school look with warm white LEDs.

that's great if you look at it from a distance like a xmas tree. try playing it in a dark room. You will be frustrated as all shit. Plus your art is completely destroyed. Color wonder overrides all art. If you want your game to look like a xmas fest. Sand it down to a whitewood so you can't ruin the art package. Still won't be able to play it, but at least the art is spared.

To be fair, perhaps that Skateball was the only restored solid state at the Chicago Expo and they had to give the trophy to someone.

I like that it looks original. I really don't care for the Powder coating and and artwork on the arch of the "Restored" one.

Theirs also has a reproduction playfield and some of the colors are way off, as they were on the entire run especially if you look at the blues. I'd need to put the repro backglass next to mine to see how close it is or if the mirroring looks any good.

Not a bad choice if you have the space. It is certainly a blast to play and never gets old to look at day after day. Sounds are pretty cool too.

Haha, that is actually my Barracora for sale. I will admit the backglass looks pretty garish in the pic and I could be convinced to go back to warm whites but give me a little credit, all the GI lights are warm white!
