Figured I would start a topic where individuals can ask stupid questions without fear of being ridiculed. Everyone starts somewhere and I'm sure there are individuals who have been in the hobby forever also that have some basic questions they have always wondered about.

I'll start. No matter how careful I seem to be, I cannot get away without scratching the side of the inside cabinet when raising and lowering a stern play field. I have mirror blades I want to put on my Star Trek but I've holding off a bit with fear of scratching those up.

    Any tricks here I'm missing?
