Quoted from Mr68:

That said, BBB has some of the very best artwork ever on a pinball machine along with fun music and wonderful, double entendre call outs. It's the only production, adult theme game ever made that I know of and I find it fun and funny. (The theme is an outer space singles bar. Big Bang, get it?

And it has everything. Drop targets, stand up targets, ramps, habitrails, pop bumpers, captive balls. Yet doesn't seem cluttered. Well laid out.

#103 6 years ago

If they do BBB. I'm sure most quantities of parts were used to make the Illinois Pinball ones.

So if they make new translites, I hope they correct the Capcom goof and use all the screens and add BANG to the translite and not miss one like Capcom did. We don't need anymore Big Bangs.

Quoted from Stones:

I wonder if its truly a great game

My favorite. A lot of fun to play.

Bear in mind, I'm not a great player.

this pinball collusion must be rooted out.

Pretty bold taking on the Pinball Illuminati all by yourself.

I'm going to miss you.

Quoted from unigroove:

That makes me wonder how complete that code is.

Hard to say. Maybe just putting Williams way of doing things in place of Capcoms. Lyman was working on it.

LTG : )

#236 6 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Tell me, who over pps is any good at designing code?

Their friends at CGC must have people. They have developed some of their own games through the years.

Quoted from ultimategameroom:

What were the prices for AFM?

6500, 7200, 7900

LTG : )

Quoted from meSz:

doesn't Rick sell the license to CGC to make the games?

Not quite sure the workings.

You buy license rights to make something, but don't own the license, Williams does. And no idea the agreement between PPS/CGC. It is a joint effort.

All I know is we are getting great games, and a very exciting future.

Quoted from Sinestro:

Can someone shed some info on Williams working on BBB?

Williams bought the rights to BBB and got two of them. It would have come out after Cactus Canyon. P2K changed things.

Williams disassembled one. Had a white wood with limited art work in a cabinet. Williams board set. I would imagine a mix of Williams mechs and Capcom on the playfield. Lyman did some work on it. No idea if it was ever powered up.

Mike Pacak bought them. Made the Williams one back into a Capcom one and sold them over the years.

Bare white wood is in a private collection.

Quoted from Rdoyle1978:

Has CGC talked about doing an original? That would be news to me

Doug Skor at IAAPA said it's on the white board. ( It was reported here on Pinside )

Quoted from VGC1612:

Since Circus Maximus (Pinball Inc.) gonna make KP,do you think they own BBB rights too?

They may be doing KP with PPS licensing. I'm sure they have worked with PPS in the past, for Pinball Circus.

Quoted from Spencer:

You still think its going to be MBr after that facebook post on the last page?

Facebook post isn't ready for production. What ever the next remake is, will be ready to roll after the TPF announcement.

Quoted from colonel_caverne:

Who has already played it?

I have. I loved it.

Quoted from PinMonk:

Even unfinished as it is

Did you play a fully working one ? I've often heard it's more finished than BBB was. And one game that many played, had ramp optos and maybe other things not working.

LTG : )

#582 6 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

I said it's MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE and having not shipped anything ever,

We'll know more after TPF, and probably more news later. I don't know if they'll build it, or have another company build it.

LTG : )

#585 6 years ago
Quoted from Compy:

Come see us at TPF, you won't be disappointed.

Thank you to you, Paul, and James for making this happen. And Python's dream of Pinball Circus too.

A lot has gone into these projects.

LTG : )

#597 6 years ago
Quoted from Nevus:

Run, don’t walk, away from this with your money!

A few words to remember when temptation strikes you.

Predator
Alien
Magic Girl

You might at least wait until they announce the game, what's going to happen, who is going to build it.

And they aren't taking any money.

LTG : )

#650 6 years ago
Quoted from noitbe1:

Kingpin too? Is there a consequence with revealed kingpin

Yes. Yes there is. I firmly believe it's that fiduciary duties crap.

LTG : )

#652 6 years ago
Quoted from noitbe1:

Not sure what "fiduciary" means but don't think Capcom will claim a dime for this. Only a lawyer could get what it is or i might be wrong

I was making a joke. Fiduciary is at the bottom of your post.

According to the trademarks you posted. Things are fine. PPS has the trademark for BBB and KP. And since PPS is involved with CMG on the PC project, I believe they are up to speed on the KP project.

#686 6 years ago
Quoted from bigd1979:

Will see how the reliability is in 23 years like the originals.... Something tells me they will have some issues down the road.

23 more years down the road, you think the originals games won't have more issues when they approach 45 years old ?

LTG : )

Quoted from colonel_caverne:

it is CGC’ s turn. Does anyone know when it could be?

I would guess within a month.

LTG : )

I hope it will be BBBr

I know it's a long shot, but I'm still hoping for Punchy The Clown R

So any idea when this next machine will be announced now?

When done and ready to show. Doug Duba will give the go ahead.

LTG : )

#720 6 years ago
Quoted from Micky:

Hopefully soon, but who really knows.

The shadow knows.

LTG : )

#725 6 years ago
Quoted from Spencer:

The whole Mystery thing is the dumbest thing ever and doesn't help them at all.

Wasn't meant to be a mystery. Doug Duba doesn't want to reveal the game until it's ready.

Whether it hurts them or not, he's the guy in charge.

LTG : )

#728 6 years ago
Quoted from Spencer:

but you are very norrow minded if you think people don't want to know the next title.

I know people want to know. No stopping curiosity.

But all the speculation won't change CGC's planned release. All of which pretty much grew here on Pinside.

Quoted from Spencer:

You are the best pinball tech on this site

Thank you for the kind words my friend. But there are plenty here way more knowledgeable than me.

LTG : )

#749 6 years ago
Quoted from Spencer:

I only said, the complete mystery about what game is next is so strange and I don't understand why its needed. Announce the title, let everyone get there money together and release it when ready.

Like Iron Maiden. That wasn't a short mystery.

And when Stern announced, we see games on the line, and the worlds largest launch party coming up at MGC next weekend. And people getting their games very soon.

These companies know what they are doing. They can't stop rampant speculation on the internet they didn't start. And they aren't responsible for providing people time to save up for their favorite game. Follow the patterns companies have done in the past for timing on the next game, and plan accordingly in case it's a game you want.

LTG : )

#752 6 years ago
Quoted from musketd:

Lloyd I’m excited to see it and hoping and crossing my fingers that it is indeed Big Bang Bar

I'm excited too. I wish it was here already so I'd know what it is and can get prepared for any tech calls coming in.

LTG : )

#755 6 years ago
Quoted from Indusguys:

we know a game is coming from them,

Really ? How. From rumors on Pinside ? Or from the manufacturers ?

Now Doug did post the next remake would be unveiled at TPF. And it wasn't ready, and the reveal is delayed.

Quoted from Indusguys:

if you need to move back the reveal date no on will be that upset because you already told them what the game would be.

You must have missed the posts of people that would skip the next CGC pin and buy something else when it wasn't revealed at TPF.

It seems to me the hype has been from posts on Pinside, rather than from the manufacturers.

No announcement at MGC? That is not good news

No.

They will announce when they are ready to blow you away. Not before.

#864 6 years ago
Quoted from markp99:

Spoiler Alert!

After spending time at MGC and talking with CGC people. I can now alert the masses that Punchy The Clown R, sadly, is not on the remake list.

While I still don't know the title. I can safely say Arturo was more excited than anyone I've ever seen about a pinball machine, when he talked about it.

Being on the operating end of things. Seeing someone so excited. Means a lot to me and what the game will do for my business.

LTG : )

#868 6 years ago
Quoted from Yelobird:

I personally think the game is rather cool in an odd kind of way.

It is a unique and fun game. How Fred came to do the "I'm Punchy The Clown" voice is really funny. Who knew the Alving G people would like what he was joking about doing ?

LTG : )

#871 6 years ago
Quoted from colonel_caverne:

He didn’t tell you when they thought to reveal it?

When it's ready. Should be real soon. Production too.

Quoted from Eryeal:

It'll be interesting to see what happens over the years once they run out of the high valued games to sell.

I heard originally they were looking at ten titles. More recently seven.

So five to eight years to worry about it.

And at IAPPA doing an original title was on the whiteboard.

Definitely going to be interesting.

Quoted from Ramjet:

I believe the cat is out of the bag

This was first posted a few days ago. And the Facebook page was edited within 7 minutes removing MB.

And CGC has no affiliation with the show.

Read up on the responses to the first time it was posted.

Any chance PP remakes TAF? Seems like a no brainer to me

Would it be nice ? Yes. Would licensing kill it ? Probably.

LTG : )

#1061 2 years ago
Quoted from KornFreak28:

I don’t see why they wouldn’t when they all did for the original?

A couple possibilities. Raul Julia was alive then. And maybe he need to be licensed, like you would now from his estate.

And now you might have to deal with the Charles Addams estate, New Yorker magazine, TV show, and movies.

LTG : )

#1064 2 years ago
Quoted from KornFreak28:

I hope you are wrong on this one

Me too. I'd like to see everyone get the game they'd like.

Quoted from fosaisu:

For years people said Raul Julia's estate would never approve, but the Pinball Arcade App got most of it done, so it shouldn't be hard for CGC to get

There was a time they didn't want it out there. Then did again at some point.
