Oh and a side note, BBB is coming out and I'm buying itI'm getting BBB for sure, played it at the Arcade Expo and really liked it! Couldn't get into MB though strangely enough although I know it's much loved around here. With some games though I find I have to play them at home to get more into them, that way I can hear all the sounds, callouts, really have time to learn the rules, etc. At an arcade or show it's always so noisy that you can't hear the game at all, and I can't really learn the game because there is always someone behind you wanting to play next

He said fixed roms (to stop the LED ghosting) would be posted for Williams/Bally games in the future as a pretext for having the rom patcher that let people do it themselves taken down. That was 3 years ago. Has even one patched ROM been posted in the last 3 years? Nope.

The stupid thing is the patcher's code has been tested for YEARS now and is stable with ZERO reported incidences of "fire" (as was supposedly Williams' concern), etc. I understand protecting copyright, etc, but if you're not going to stand by your word and provide the fixed product through your license, then people will go around you to fix a DEFECT in the original code.
