BBB is a bit too edgy for my gameroom but gameplay looks fun.

#1002 4 years ago
Quoted from underlord:

Agreed. Never got into it imo.

Playing TOM got me into buying pinballs, starting with a TOM. It is an excellent location game and ok for a large home collection. If CGC improved the code for wizard mode, I’d consider buying the remake.

Re-Remake will be better

With a big dancing lady topper.

Disclaimer : No idea if it will get done. Just thing a huge animated BBB topper would be great.

Quoted from underlord:

TZ and IJ, being widebody, and huge licenses, probably never.
TOM, and CC look to be in the works.

Hopefully Totan is next!

Quoted from Mr68:

Strong rumors are that Cactus Canyon is next but I would prefer Big Bang Bar. I sold my BBB and miss it.

Will they be paying the programmer to use the superior and finished “Continued” code?

Big Bang 3 still sounds like a pipe dream, especially since it will probably be an inferior Williams version.

Now that I own a Capcom pin, boy did they spoil us! These pins are build far better than any of the competition.

Nope not a chance. What I hear is, they went at it alone. Lets see how well they did.

BBB is off the table

I'm out of the loop on this. Please explain.

#1016 3 years ago

I hope they remake "El Toro".

Updated code, of course!

Are you just saying that because you own one or did you hear some news we didn’t.

#1018 3 years ago

I’m pretty sure Planetary don’t own the rights to BBB.
Gene didn’t- from the stories I’ve heard. From reliable source, when Capcom wanted rid of all parts from warehouse to get rid of everything- a van at night and Gene were involved.

BBB were made from those parts..

Quoted from Pinhead1982:

I’m pretty sure Planetary don’t own the rights to BBB.

I'm not sure about that.
Williams did get the rights for bbb and made a prototype playfield using their parts.

So it will depend if they bought the full rights (and it went to pps) or licensed it temporarily..

Pinball Inc (Circus Maximus) has the Capcom rights and they are building Kingpin. Those guys are the ones You need ask about BBB.

#1021 3 years ago

As I recall, Circus Maximus worked out a deal with Planetary Pinball for the Kingpin trademark.

In regard to BBB, see attached picture with the announcement from Planetary Pinball.
Quote: "What I can tell you is that in the list of likely remakes are CC, MB, TOM, BBB"

It was that announcement 2+ years ago that launched this thread.

It would seem that Planetary Pinball owns the Capcom rights. Here's a quote from Paul of Circus Maximus in the Kingpin thread:

Quoted from pkiefert:

We mentioned this in our seminar at SFGE a few weeks ago, and since it was mentioned in TWIP today too, I’ll mention it here.

We have an agreement with Planetary Pinball to acquire the Kingpin trademark.

So I'm late to the party obviously, but are any machines due for remakes such as CC, MM, MB, or AFM?

#1024 2 years ago
Quoted from RKip455:

So I'm late to the party obviously, but are any machines due for remakes such as CC, MM, MB, or AFM?

MM (twice), MB, and AFM have all been remade. Currently none in production.

Speculation that next remake will be CC.

Big question is when. Current best guess is “Soon” (tm).

I'd be interested in a BBB.

Quoted from gdonovan:

Instant buy for me!

#1027 2 years ago

fingers crossed CGC can pick up the pace here.

What number of machines have they been making/selling each year? Is that known?
Have those numbers slumped at all, or is the market still hungry for NIB so many MM/AFM/MB machines that they can't change gears?

Very good

#1032 2 years ago

CC will be exciting because it's a game you rarely ever saw in lineups. AFM/MM/MB, you saw regularly already. Can't wait! Hoping the rules will shine.

#1033 2 years ago

I played cactus canyon when it was on display at ca robinson. I was not impressed by it. I have not tried it with the updated software. It would be a pass for me.

I hope you are right! I'm definitely in on CC. Awesome game!

Iceman didn't specify a year ...

#1037 2 years ago

Yet another reason to believe Ice's "sources" are bullshit. Waiting for the excuses now.

#1038 2 years ago

Im done believing anymore rumors from anyone. Nobody knows shit. It happens when it happens.

#1039 2 years ago

It's August now...

#1040 2 years ago

Spoke to CGC the other day: No plans on rerunning any of the previous titles and they gave no firm date(s) or any hint of what title is coming out. You can easily find out the same by calling.

CC announcement on 9-11?

#1045 2 years ago
Quoted from ToucanF16:

CC announcement on 9-11?

Nope before, when will BBBR be available?

#1046 2 years ago

Following!

#1047 2 years ago

fingers crossed, I really hope CC and BBB are roaring successes for CGC. But I'm nervous they don't have the same hype as the other machines already made, or the other classics everyone else is clamoring for.

#1048 2 years ago

My Vote... BBB > CC

It will come down to cost. If the base model is priced ~8k - sales will be challenged.

Any chance PP remakes TAF? Seems like a no brainer to me
