Thinking about putting a power ball in my reg TRS

This is a great idea. I'm wondering if you can put the LE code into the standard. The only differences are the extra posts and the playfield magnets. Do you think the standard TRS would run with the LE software? You'd get powerball double scoring and an extra song.

No you wouldn't. The Pro doesn't have the shooter lane "sensor" to know when the powerball is in play.

I know if you tried to put LE software on Avatar Pro, it would tell you that it's not compatible with that game. Prob the same with Stones.

But you can put Shrek software in on Family Guy and that is a trip!

TRS is a ton of fun. Highly under rated. Just like BBH. One day it will be appreciated (Mic on the stick will always be considered cheap though).

Im sorry TRS in my opinion couldn't hold a stick to BBH

Even if that stick were Mic?

I like BBH better than TRS as well . . . that is another game I think Stern should do a re-run LE edition on (BBH).

That's true - but that was before the whole Pro/LE thing. I'm pretty sure LE code won't work on any Pros...and I remember some people accidentally updated their Avatar LE w/ Pro software, and then couldn't change it back to LE and had to send their boards back to Stern. Not sure if other games will "brick" like that...but I wouldn't wanna risk it.

So you can put a powerball in which makes it play faster but no double scoring

I'm going to try and load shriek in family guy as that's pretty cool.

Quoted from o-din:

I would have done it more like this-

Paint it Black
Bitch
2000 Light Years From Home
Monkey Man
Satisfaction
Get Off Of My Cloud
Mothers Little Helper
Gimme Shelter
Can't You Hear me Knocking
Doo Doo Doo Heartbreaker
Time Waits For No One
Hot Stuff

Huge HUGE Stones fan here, but TRS gameplay is subpar (unfortunately)
Come on man....definitely not 2000 light years from home, Next thing you will want on the game would be Sing This All Together! There are so so many songs we could put on this game to make the soundtrack better and ODin that is definitely not one of them. How about unlocking the whole Exile soundtrack during Main Street Multiball....making some stuff up off the top of my head here

It's a funny little change of pace...kinda bizarre hitting Start and hearing Smash Mouth & hearing Donkey's voice when Stewie is moving. It plays 100% though - the only difference is that the Meg coil doesn't function, as Shrek didn't have a coil under Fiona.

Pretty good listing, but what if you had to pick ten to twelve to represent them? The Stones are such a good band and have had soooo many genuine hits, that task of picking a limited number of titles is a no-win situation. Nobody would agree with anybody else's list.

#63 10 years ago

I totally agree with you Jeff. It's very hard to pin them down to 12 songs.
I wish we could add memory and totally improve the playlist on the game maybe add some complete songs and a bunch of 30 second clips of songs like say 2 dozen more. This way while you are playing the game you experience new songs all the time.

I honestly havent played enough of TRS to truly weigh in, but from what I have seen I would love it if someone could as a passion project could make that game epic with music that coordinates with the gameplay.

Also someone needs to sell me on the cheap because I am a big fan of the band!

#64 10 years ago

I like the game, though it was made during one of sterns "lets make them as cheap as possible" times. I kind of want one, what are they going for?

Thing is - everyone on forums will say the game sucks...but you just don't see them for sale at all, which means they might be doing well on location (my local movie theater has had theirs for a long time) and home owners really like it and don't wanna let it go. It may have a bad-rep from vocal haters....but if no one wants to sell it, the price is gonna stay up a bit. I was hoping to get one cheap due to the rep...but hasn't happened yet. Pro's prob ~$3500 ...LE? No idea!

#66 10 years ago

it would take high 3's to get mine. it's a fun game with a decent rule set that always seems to be one of the more popular games when people are over. I agree that they are rarely up for sale; my first thought is that I can think of more TRS on location than I know of in private collections.
