So I don't know how 2019 could of kicked me in the crotch any harder, lost the girl, lost the job, and dog got cancer... almost a country song...
I got into pinball 4 years ago...I was in rehab because I had a bad drinking problem and I met a plucky gal with similar interest and the first words out of her mouth were-
    "Do you play pinball?"
Now I run a route with 3 locations, its a start... I stay up till the wee hours in the morning working with some of the best techs in the industry in my opinion... no offense to any others out there...
But now I walk into bars and leave with more money in my pocket then when I went in... that is a big difference from the man I used to be...
I recently lost my job working for geeksquad but they were holding me back anyways... My girlfriend left me for the only reason I think is shes afraid I wont be a good provider for her and her kids...
But I'm still diving into pinball full steam and using it as a outlet to express my art and general passion for something I love that gave me my life back.
I build a website dedicated to the local pinball scene "which doesn't exist" even though we have some amazing players and collectors here...
I hope to grow pinball locally through my site, my route, and merchandise and art I create...
I hope you all will take a min to check out my site
its called MiniPost... please check it out

Good luck to you. Keep the passion and you never know where life will take you.

Adversity is impossible to appreciate while you’re in the middle of it but one day you’ll look back and see it was all part of the journey that you took.

All the best following your passion.

Ever consider becoming a slot tech? You can work with the newest Bally, WMS and <choke> IGT equipment. Also Konami, Aristocrat, Gamblit, Ainsworth, Incredible Technologies and more.

    Where are your games located?

I’ll be in Carson City for 5 days next month and would welcome a good excuse to break free for a few hours and drive up to Reno.

Best of luck man, you have just experienced three of the most stressful events we can endure in this life, all in such a short period of time that there’s virtually no way you were able to properly cope with one catastrophe before the next one came along to crotch-punch you. The fact that you persevered, found healthy ways to cope, and have seemingly emerged with a renewed sense of focus and a great attitude is truly worthy of respect, and you certainly have mine!

Carry on with your head held high and continue kicking ass!

Sounds like a lot of pinside for sale ads.

Good luck on your newer venture.

By all means, support BETWEENPANELS' pins. Also note that the Peppermill, (2nd big Reno casino you will hit) has a nice arcade with several newer Stern pins. It is right off the parking garage. The first casino you will hit, Atlantis, has an arcade with a recently unboxed Stern Star Wars.

    I stand by this statement.
Love comes when it wants, it does what it wants and leaves when it wants. You cannot control it. You can only enjoy it while it lasts.

You beat your personal demon and for that HUGE kudos. The pinball is a great deterrant/distraction. Slow and steady is what got every great captain to a new land. Best of luck friend.

That sounds like my 2017. I made it out ok, and even expanded my pinball collection. Some days I look back and I'm actually grateful my life got flipped upside down. I wish you the best luck and always remember to keep your head up!

Secondly thank you for contributing to the hobby! Keep up the great work!

Congratulations and consider yourself lucky to get away from that woman. Sometimes it's cheaper to rent it than buy it. Your in the right town for it all. The sign says it all. Many career choices, cheap food, and housing. Tahoe is right there and so many other cool things the town has to offer. Very cool your doing things for pinball. Sit back enjoy your life and wait for the good.

Are you involved with Press Start in Reno? I stopped in there a couple months ago and was very impressed.

One of my really good friends is there head Tech and I am a participant in league held there but yes they are doing a good job and their new layout is way more dedicated to pinball players.

Thank you for sharing this. 2015 was the year that did it to me. Congratulations on persevering and the inspirational turnaround you have orchestrated with pinball playing such a prominent part. And I have to say that “Come with me if you want to flip” is an absolutely awesome attention-grabber that will draw folks in. They’ll be back!

I was just at "Press Start" this summer and met the head tech. He was a pretty cool guy and showed me the Superman pin in the back. Fun place.

Saw your t-shirt design on Facebook and loved it. Sorry to hear the year has kicked your butt. Keep your head up...you will get through it! Keep focusing on what makes you happy, and keep up the good work with the cool pinball stuff. I just ordered a t-shirt...hope it helps a little (while I selfishily get a sweet new shirt!).

    Take care,
    Chris

Awesome! I sense an order very likely coming from me in the near future ... as long as you'll have it in a 3X.
Might also be cool if you released a print/poster of the artwork that could be framed. I can quite vividly imagine one on the wall near my Terminator 2 pin!

Again: thanks for sharing your story and inspiring myself and others to press on when things get really tough.
Your path and results are most excellent examples of living what Sir Winston Churchill meant when he said "When you're going through hell, keep going."

Not on Facebook and never will be. Perhaps there is another way to buy your shirt. I like it!

Thought I’d check in and see how you’re doing seeing as we’ll be kicking (and I mean kicking - not kissing) 2019 goodbye in a few hours.

Still hoping for a framable “Come with me if you want to flip” poster in 2020!!!
