It has to be lined up correctly as it was. I changed one a few years ago and as I recall there was a notch on the disc to help you along.
Oh, that's a good tip. I will verify if the one on there now is correct. No sense in duplicating someone else's mistake.
Quoted from Don44:I recall there was a notch on the disc to help you along.
The decal has a indexing V between " Free lock" and "Players choice"
In wheel test mode manually turn the wheel clockwise a few revolutions (so that it's calibrated) and then *slowly* turn, stopping the instant it transitions to the next space/wedge. This corresponds to the left edge of the space/wedge displayed on the screen (because you were turning clockwise). Without moving the wheel apply the decal such that the arrow on the PF is pointing at the black line representing the left edge of the displayed space.
Do a couple of practice runs using tape. You want to be dead balls on otherwise the wheel won't be very accurate.
No you need to peel the old one off first. Mine came off pretty easy. I cleaned the old adhesive off with some 3M adhesive remover and applied the new decal. Make sure you line up the little triangle on the decal with the groove on the side of the disc. If you don't get it lined up it will never read correctly. The new decal makes the game look new again . I can't believe how many NGG I see for sale with old dirty disc decals. They only cost $15 and are easy to change. Good luck!
