I still
Have a bear of time making the jumps.
I am curious how high above the playfield the ur flipper is. When I try to do the normal distance it seems like since it’s a heavier metal bat it drops down some.
Also do you have the edge of the flipper in line with the right side of ramp ?
Quoted from BertoDRINK1:Here's a pic of mine. It's tough to make mine all the time also but that's because my ramp got a warped from a locked on magnet but I actually haven't changed it cause it's harder and i never say anything as people play it
You have the Lightning Flipper mod also which might make it harder to shoot also.[quoted image]
Thanks
I shifted mine a little bit. Will see
What difference would the lightening flipper make? I didn’t even realize I had done that.
Quoted from Tjohejsan:I noticed that everytime i use either left or right flipper i recive 500.000 point ä
Whats that?
has to be one of the switches near bye is being triggered by the vibration. I'd pull the glass and figure which of the nearby targets give 500, then check gap.
Also could go into the switch test mode, hit the flipper and see if another switch triggers as well...
Do you guys have the magnet speed set fast or slow, for when it whips the ball around for the jump. I swtiched to slow thinking I'd be better hitting the jumps, but I think its easier to get in a groove when its moving quicker
I have always had a difficult time making the jump. There is one small sweet spot on the end of the flipper where if I hit it works fine. But the majority of the time when I hit the ball it just rolls off the ramp...like I barely hit it at all.
Is it just me and the timing or do I have the flipper to low? Any ideas
(BTW the flipper busing is new, eos new, sleeve new....)
Quoted from mollyspub:Sounds like timing to me. Post a pic of your flipper angle.
Here’s a view
image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpgQuoted from allsportdvd:You have a lightning flipper in there that is 1/4” shorter. That’ll certainly make your sweet spot smaller
Thanks I will look for the standard size...Didnt think that extra long flipper was used in any other game.
The one on marcos site looks like the same that I have...
Quoted from mollyspub:That angle needs to be back a bit.
I won't mention the overseas flipper bat
[quoted image][quoted image]
I will adjust...Thank you
I pulled the lightening flipper it’s the same length as a standard flipper.
So it has the bolt but not a zipper I guess
Quoted from mollyspub:Seems hard to tell but I think so. Heres mine to compare.
[quoted image]
Thanks. It is hard to tell
The jump is makeable when I hit, I just feel I whiff the jump 4/5 times. Maybe just my timing.
I am replacing the main ramp bc the magnet had melted a large divot
Was there any Sort of fix that came out to prevent the magnets from melting again
Quoted from Sarge:We always inline fused the TAF magnets. I'm not sure if you could "tune" the amperage load on that magnet as it is on for such a short time? The fuse would only help if the magnet became stuck on in the energized position, do you know if it happened during regular game play, or was it because of a failure?
It had happened before I had the game.
From what others have mentioned, I will assume it was probably from the old code. I will need to check what code I am running to be safe
Thanks
I continue to try to dial in my upper flipper.
When the pf is up the flipper has no resistance and is perfect. But when the pf is down the weight of the long flipper pushes the link to drop some and it does not have the same ease moving in and out of the coil.( My bushing is new, as are all the flipper parts ). Is this the nature of the upper flipper ?
If anyone needs a subway ramp please let me know.
I ordered an extra from pinball resource in Germany.
They look to be original ,so unused but not new plastic
