Very nice, did you use LED strip or bulbs?

been playing around with some red leds

How are you lighting the speaker panel?

Sounds like it is resetting, test all your voltages at all test points at let us know what you get.

Quoted from Yellowdog:I press start, it pops up the message "Initializing Please Wait",

any thoughts???

Also balls can stick in the subway because of dirt and not enough pitch on the game.

So I'm thinking this winter I'd like to replace the art work on my badly faded No Fear. Who has the best out there? I was thinking on going with these...

You could sell yours and buy mine. It has almost no fade. A very nice original example.

Gimme a direction

Is there a pink crimp terminal on the switch? Yes, cut it off and solder wire directly to the switch.

Quoted from Skooiker:

just thinking it's a lose connection then?

Not so much as a loose connection, but more like a high resistance connection. If you wiggle the connector around, then it will work for a day or two.

Replace the switch.

How to keep this ramp down? Slight lifting.

Is the lower left corner touching the base of the post?

Fix this bad connection too. Coil power comes from high current flow, 3-4 strands of wire isn't good for flow.

Quoted from mitchzizzle:

Can this be fixed?

Yes, find the switch under the play field that the ball is resting on and pull the wire off with the pink connector. Now cut off the pink connector. Strip the wire and solder it back on to the switch.

Quoted from mitchzizzle:

-The vuk fires when it isnt supposed to and puts balls into play.

Remove the subway and give it a good cleaning. Also clean the opto transmitters and receivers with Windex. Make sure you have the correct slope on the play field. Wax the subway and reinstall and retest.

Thanks setzkor GRUMPY for the advice , looks like I cried wolf prematurely, I just had to clean off the opto sensors with qtips and alcohol, the VUK seems to have stopped glitching on me.
Ill take a look at the (shooter lane?) switch , and the pink connector - playing last night I noticed that most of the time if I choose 'start mode' it will autofire with full power, but if I hit 'supercross' it only fires a half power hit, got me wondering if that is by design?
Anyways, will take a look this aft, thanks again!

This era of games didn't control coil power. The elimination of the pink connector will stop the loss of coil power.

Quoted from joeaf:

Hi all, just picked up a NF. Flashers are not working and someone hacked up the driver board pretty good at J120 and J121. I pulled the board and the backside looks fine no burns and continuity is good no jumpers. Where should I start? Fuses all check good, no errors on test. I have the schematics just wanted a second opinion before I start repinning connections. Besides that, game plays flawlessly.
On driver board TP7 20v test reads zero…

Sounds like the bridge rectifier is bad, or there is a cracked solder joint on the bridge leads.

Quoted from Apollon:

Couple of questions about No Fear….
It seems to use the knocker less than most of my other Bally Williams, 90s machines. It goes off of course when you get a high score or grand champion but it doesn’t go off when you get an extra ball or a replay or special like most of my others. I didn’t see a setting in which to change that? Anyone have any ideas?
The sound is not super out of the stock speakers. It sounds kinda crackly and not crisp. Would Flipper Fidelity speakers change that or just amplify the poor quality? Is there another sound issue if I’m getting poor sound quality? I know it’s from the 90s… but something’s up with it.

Tantalum caps maybe going bad on the sound board.
