Any other No Fear owners have Pre drilled mini post holes in their playfield? My first one didn't have it and this one does ?

Quoted from misterhare:

You could always buy the machine and track down an old board and sell the RD board later.

Depending on cost. A good deal is a good deal.

Per Steve Ritchie, if I am remembering this right, the early run of PFs had the hole drilled as he originally planned for the post to be there. During play testing the games lasted to long so they removed it from production but they had already begun manufacturing the PFs. Solution was to plug it on the ones already made.

Thank you ... interesting back story

Got mine s couple weeks back... launches balls on start up and won't give you multiball... unless random reward... had a friend look at it and opto on VUK is bad. Part getting ordered.. anyone else have this issue?

Going through parts today for games that I no longer own and found this, it is orginal NOS WMS. If anyone needs this, PM me.

Yeah pretty standard. It stages a ball there and after time the opto will have issues from being attached to the VUK. Had to replace mine last year also.

What other mods have people done?
[quoted image]

When I bought the game it had those two mods, and I took them off

I always find it interesting how much people like...or don't like...toys on the playfield like that.

#516 3 years ago

I guess I'm officially out of the club

Possibly, but there is a beautiful freedom to playing a game with a great playfield and trashed cab. Flipper wear? Sure, bring it on... Dinged it with the beer bottle? Oops...oh well...

On another note, glad to see you found yours. Looks great!

#520 3 years ago

Everyone is out of stock ( again) but I was able to track one down... Just in case

A friend from overseas. I'd have to check with him to see if he's willing to do more

That's the aftermarket art work. Someone changed it. The black line on the bottom gives it away that's why the colors are so nice Side blades are nice.

These haven't been changed at any point.

I've never seen a factory one with that black line on the bottom. That's the reproduced 2.0 art.

Strategy question...what mode do you generally start with off the initial plunge?
Picking start challenge seems like your taking a short cut by not shooting for the skull. Same thing for lock ball. Thoughts?

#529 3 years ago

Not cheating when the game is set up that way , I will always use the "start challenge "

Can anyone confirm if there are metal washers on the top of the metal shaft for the jump ramp flipper? I didn't see these in the manual. I recently replaced the metal shaft and rebuilt the flippers. Now at times when hitting the jump ramp the ball will fly off hitting the glass or fly off the ramp all together! I'm guessing someone added these at some point but I'm not sure why.

Found the image had my decal girl make the decal, good friend cut the acrylic. Still to come is a flasher for the back to tie into Bonehead on the playfield.
Could have been a touch smaller but it doesn't offend me !

It's the little things that count Painted my coin door for No Fear. I'm sure once I install it back on the game that will result in a complete resticker project next!

So I'm thinking this winter I'd like to replace the art work on my badly faded No Fear. Who has the best out there? I was thinking on going with these...

You could sell yours and buy mine. It has almost no fade. A very nice original example.
