Quoted from arcyallen:Something odd happened recently. I after not playing my No Fear for a few months, I turned it on and played. I didn't like it. It was VERY odd, as it's always been a Top 5 game for me. But over the last month I've played dozens of games and somehow have rapidly fallen out of love with it. Maybe it's my newly acquired Metallica and WCS, or maybe it's just me. But I'm officially out of the club.
Anyone else ever have this happen with a game?

Across the examples of those games I have played, WCS and Metallica I would say are waaaaaay easier than No Fear (in terms of keeping a game going; the last WCS I played had an average game time that I swear must have been 20+ mins for skilled players.
Whenever I play my No Fear the game tells me "I suck". So maybe you don't like hearing that after the ego boost provided by the other "easier" games?
Quoted from BC_Gambit:Whenever I play my No Fear the game tells me "I suck".
Hmmm, mine just tells me to "Play Better!"
Quoted from Mdu999:does any one have a upper flipper bushing for sale thanks
https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/04-10038
Marco has them in stock.
Quoted from Gorgar666:I’m putting a Williams Topper on my No Fear. Is this a WPC or WPC-95?
It is a Williams WPC Security (WPC-S)
Quoted from Micky:It is a Williams WPC Security (WPC-S)
What power tap is this similar too? Website opinions are wpc and wpc 95 only.
Quoted from Gorgar666:How many games do you have? I definitely think it’s not a standalone game. It’s a solid 4+ collection in my opinion.
This was the 6th pin in my house. Ironically I liked it a lot better when it was "my only" game!
Quoted from BC_Gambit:So maybe you don't like hearing that after the ego boost provided by the other "easier" games?
It's funny you mention that because one of the reasons I -do- like WCS is that no matter what happens, the announcer is congratulating you on your great play. Even when your shot is deflected by the goalie it announces "That was a great block!" Haha. But I love the snarkiness of Bonehead chastising you too.
Quoted from KevInBuffalo:Oh, and the guy I got the game from didn't have the backbox key and didn't know where it was. Close call on pulling these out of the back box.

Typically look for faded cabinet, melted ramp in the back near the magnets. Confirm all 3 magnets work. Often there is cracking of the ramp near the 3rd flipper. Also that long bushing for that flipper is unique and often hard to source... At least in the US. The playfield typically is in pretty good shape on these.
It will be interesting to know if it is indeed HUO.

It was for several years until one day a few months ago I mentioned it elsewhere on this board, the miraculously Marco all the sudden had them again.

What's a fair asking price assuming HUO?
Quoted from mollyspub:What's a fair asking price assuming HUO?
HUO means not much. But if unfaded cabinet, $3k -$3500.
If it can be had cheaper, it's a win.

So it's safe to say a near pristine example for 5k is out of line ?

Yup.

If you want to play one some time to see how well you like it, you are welcome to stop over anytime.
Quoted from Gorgar666:No Fear Vs Black Knight 2000
In value and Game Play?
I've had both. Both are near the same price range now. No Fear gives more variety of goals and is still here.
BK2K is a sharp looking game with great music and is fast. However, it is mostly right flippers only all day long and gets more repetitious faster.
Something about No Fear has made it a never leaving keeper that I still play all the time.
Quoted from mollyspub:So it's safe to say a near pristine example for 5k is out of line ?
Yes, you should be able to get a super nice one at $3500 or less. Used to be under $3000, but nicer, unfaded examples are getting fewer and farther between. Faded ones are around $2500 and up now.

Thanks for your insight, games have come and gone. No Fear is always left standing...

Every night it is still standing long after I no longer am.
Quoted from mollyspub:Are there plastics and ramps available for this title ? How about must have mods?
Ramps are all readily available in heavy duty replacements as are most mechanical parts. Plastics can be harder to come by as I know of no one selling a complete set, but individual pieces show up now and then.
Only must have mod is a ColorDMD as they did a super job on this one.
This game needs no other mods. But, I suppose if you have to have one, you could put some Oakleys on Skull.
Quoted from mollyspub:Are there plastics and ramps available for this title ? How about must have mods?
Starship has all of the ramps - https://www.starship-fantasy.com/ramps/No-Fear-3-Ramp-Set
When I bought my game 5 years ago Marco still had plastic sets available. Hopefully someone will remake them at some point.
Well, it doesn't quite look like the centering flange for the skull coil... Is it a nyliner for one of the wires through the playfield? A broken plastic washer for a screw? You got me stumped...and it's so very white...
It looks like one of those 5/16 white rubbers, which the game doesn't have, and it just showed up there and it was honestly too late and I was too something to pull the glass off.
Now I will investigate.
Quoted from GeekedOnPinball:Added this car for the same driver on the backglass.

Wow, where you get it? Post a link.

Man, that is too clean.
Quoted from Gorgar666:Wow, where you get it? Post a link.
Find them both on eBay. Both are from the 90s, just model glued them in the position I wanted them in.
Quoted from Gorgar666:Man, that is too clean.
Thanks man, I really love this one and hadn’t seen anyone else add one yet. Hadn’t seen the car either but it seems it’s been done a couple times in other locations on the playfield.
What are people's thoughts of purchasing a No Fear with a rottendog driver board?
I've never used their products. Reliable ?

Personal preferences for me is original boards, however they seem to work, minor issues with the ones I have had

You could always buy the machine and track down an old board and sell the RD board later.
