Quoted from JLay:

I've also been looking for a blinking bulb solution for Stars. Using Comet Retros everywhere else but haven't yet found a good one for the back box blinkers... will keep an eye out here if anyone has leads

I recall purchasing both fast and slow blinkers from Comet is that not an option?

#79 3 years ago
Quoted from JLay:

They were out of stock when I checked but looks like there may be some in now... do you know if their warm white will look similar to their retro LEDs or will there be a noticeable difference?

not sure they offered them in a warm and I used them in my TAF, so I don't know how they would look on the FH or why they would be any different...

Quoted from cosmokramer:

GI OCD ordered
LED OCD ordered
Also trying to order a set of red rails from Reese Rails. I usually cut and lacquer my own but I saw a pic from pinballinreno that looked stunning.
By the time I get some oak, cut and finish it, then try to source the proper color red I think Im better off just ordering them this time.

Yup it the way to go...he makes great stuff

Quoted from sb33334:

Is it difficult to change out the rails and install Reese Rails on a Funhouse? Is there any guide out there?

Nope...they fit just like the originals...

Quoted from cosmokramer:

Insert board put off to the side briefly while I wait for the IDC tool
Moving on to wire harness...
[quoted image]
Overall in good shape, no crazy hacks...just one splice that will be cleaned up properly.[quoted image][quoted image]

Since you have the harness out, I would just replace the whole wire...Marco sells it by the foot rather than fixing it no?

I've been painting mine, always see all those hand prints on the bottom of machines...at least you can clean them off when painted...

Quoted from cosmokramer:

Thought of that but I think I would end up with 3 hot spots, instead of illuminating the pops.</bloc

It's so insanely simple and takes no time at all.
Once you try it, you'll kick yourself for not doing sooner.

Link explaining this procedure? Something I want to try on my next restore as I'll be forced to use decals...

#378 2 years ago

Simple enough...I guess this I'd why the factory edges are always white right at that edges there...definitely going this route next time..same for back box too?

Quoted from zerbam:

i also color matched the post rubbers.......looks much better......also went with standard style shooter rods but both are red from pinball life

Color matched posts looks good, I like the blue start post over the original though....

Quoted from cosmokramer:

Lots of wear on this pivot point...I cant imagine how many times you need to lift a playfield to wear through like this.
I have a replacement.
[quoted image]

Part number for this pivot?... I need one too...

#499 2 years ago

yeah Pivot nut would be the "nutz" just got to make sure it fits in the receiver ok...

#503 2 years ago

I sat the bracket on the new style "pivot" bushing and it fits perfect...I'll go that route...no playing with bolts etc...
