All new sling switches up next...

Where did you get these already assembled?

Quoted from cosmokramer:

Ok, maybe I jumped the gun a bit on the apron...
My wife looked at it and when I told her I was dissatisfied with the outcome she said I was nuts.
My issue seemed to be with the black on the decal and the black paint on the apron. It seemed a bit odd after looking at my original for so long. But she has a point, you can barely notice the difference and when its on the game under glass it will be even less noticable.
I know ultimately its up to me and what I want on my game but I thought I would post a pic for comment...
(Im not sure about the pricing and rule cards yet, right now they are just placeholders)

Quoted from cosmokramer:

Another step when using these decals is to hit them with a heat gun after installation. It enhances the adhesive and you can actually see the decal "grab" the cab
You can see here where the decal is flat...
[quoted image]
And here, after heat is applied, you can see the decal puckered into the hole...

Rinse and repeat other side...
[quoted image]

I may have asked before but, what brand of decals are those? Please comment on the quality.

Rudy looks a bit tired...

Need to swap out the pop lamp sockets with these.
[quoted image]
So I can install these.
[quoted image]

Why do you have to do this for the pop bumper disc? I have them on other games without any issues.

Kinda surprised your going with black posts.

Quoted from Davi:

Why Rudy's face is so shiny? It's due to the flasher?

He already has a appt with the dermatologist

Quoted from cosmokramer:

On a side note, I have not messed with the adjustments yet but the speaker set up absolutely kicks ass and is a huge improvement over the stock set up.
I have my other pins on powered subwoofers, but Rudy wont need one, he sounds great!
I highly recommend doing this[quoted image]

Sorry I missed it but what set up did you go with ? I had flipper fedelity or however you spell it and they sounded terrible! Took em out and sent em back!

Quoted from cosmokramer:

Still on the fence about using these shooter rods, but my wife absolutely loves them. She says its a perfect match to the theme and the cab decals.
Im going to put them on for the time being, but I do have a new set of original style just in case...

Your gonna need em

Quoted from cosmokramer:

Honestly, I said the exact same thing to the people who I was watching as I was just getting started in pinball restoration. And I use the term "restoration" very loosely because, at that time, I was only doing top side teardown shop jobs. But following along with some other restoration projects posted by pros and amateurs here on pinside allowed me to get the information and confidence I needed to move on to more involved rebuild/restorations. As a result, as I started doing full restorations I try to document them in detail from just a "regular guy" point of view that shows you don't have to know everything in order to get things done.
I always try to be a little bit entertaining, a little bit informative, and a little bit human. I make mistakes along the way, some more serious than others but always try to include them in the storyline just to show that sometimes you just screw up but can always press on. As noted throughout this thread, theres a lot I dont know about pinball (the wiring on WPC coils pointed out earlier for instance)... my background is in construction, not electronics. Fortunately there are a lot of smart people here willing to help out.
Thanks to those who followed along with me on this one. I was given support, information, parts, stencils, tools and probably a few other things from this community and I really appreciate it.
You guys are great.
I did not keep track of my hours but thankfully my wife is very understanding as I have put off a lot of home improvements the last few month as I wrapped this up.
I did keep track of dollars spent, really never a good idea when it comes to a hobby, but here we go...
This is a copy and paste of my notes, dollar amount and very brief description of what was bought. Prices include shipping and I dont think I missed anything so it should very accurate.

I would like to thank my buddy Todd AXrelay who sold me the game about a year and a half ago for the "bro" price. He is stopping by this evening to play it, im looking forward to it.
As far as the game goes, It plays very well, and it looks and sounds great. Really happy with speaker set up. And I even like the shooter rods...The only issue I have is in the trough...I still need to adjust the switches as occasionally I get a ball drain, but the game does not recognize it and goes into ball search.
Hopefully an easy fix.
Then I will install the OCD boards and post some pics.
I have had quite a few people ask, but the game is not for sale.
Thanks everybody!

Still would like to see a walk around and game play video!
