Just got back from Movie Night Double Feature...White House Down and World War Z.
...I think I likes the other White House movie better.
WWZ, not sure! Being PG13 REALLY hurt it in my opinion. Lots of "cheap scares"...but no gore type stuff...most in cut away. Bah!...If you're gonna make a Zombie Movie...Give Us The Goods!!
Quoted from Gwaxt72:
guys I am in the food business, no need to really bring anything except some sides, snacks, drinks..
Have fun fellas! I wish I could join in on meeting a lot of you and crushing beers. Unfortunately I am in Virginia for the summer, hopefully Rob can host in the fall (hint hint), he is a great dude.
Quoted from S37VEN:
OK I am on the wings and some soda/Pelligrino. I could also do another Buffalo staple (I am originally from Buffalo)... wait for it... grilled/fried bologna sandwiches. 1/4" thick slab of Boar's head bologna topped with white onions and green peppers and a slice of american on a kaiser roll. Trust me they are killer!
Damn that sounds good. It's barely 5am and I'm itching for one.
See you all there. I'll figure out some foodie thing to bring along.
somebody take pics. sounds like a blast. would love to meet the fellow jersey faction....next time for sure....
verona..prob 20 minutes west of you. and 2 miles from s37ven (ryan), who is the only guy i know crazier than me about pinball. figure I could meet several others 'as crazy' at the next event like this! lol (work today and a wedding tonight has made making this crawl an impossibility)
I woke up this morning with two chromium balls and big rubber clad flipper bat between my legs!!
I do indeed. Hope that one of the gang of perverts coming today buys/trades with you.
YES! BIG thanks to Rob and Nelson for a fantastic time!! GREAT food! Great people!
I seriously couldn't have asked for anything more. Thanks so much for having us Rob and Nelson. Two really cool guys who invited some other really cool people that I'm glad to have met. Great central area. Took me 20-30 minutes to get back to my buddies house and then about 45 to get home safe. It's hard to remember everyone's real names and usernames but I thought every one was a joy to be around, polite and respectful. Hope we can do something like this again soon while it's still summertime! Oh and this is for you Ted Next time I'll bring some rocky patel 2008 Autumn collection! So mild with great subtle flavor.
Just rolled into my house. Had a blast. Thanks again Rob and Nelson. Great meeting everyone!
...we also have to figure out about the Invisiglass Situation? Can anyone go to Jack's and pick up 3 sheets so we can divvy up? (I only need one)
Good time at Rob's (Thanks Rob). Missed Nelson's - next time.
Good seeing the familiar faces from last gathering, and some new faces.
Highlights, in no particular order:
Rob's AFM. Played great. Landed 2nd place score behind Ron's 11+ million game.
The tray of crispy bacon
Chatting with Jim (whridlsoncestood)
"Every time we blow a breaker we drink a shot" rule
Crispy bacon wrapped around those jumbo shrimp
Playing Pinball Magic (with Gecko Greg & Josh) for the first time. Surprisingly fun game.
Chatting with Gerry & Joe
Crispy bacon dipped into the hummus. Somewhere a vegetarian is weeping.
Tales of the Arabian Nights!
The spicy chicken wings someone whipped up. Dee-lish!
Fireball (Ted's favorite adult beverage, not the pinball)
Chatting with Nelson & Jeff
There's more ... But now I hungry.
My place next time.
What a great time. Thanks Rob and Nelson. Great weather, great food, great pinball and great people. Can't wait for the next event. Pleasure meeting everyone.
What a great time! Enjoyed meeting new people and seeing familiar faces.
Top notch pinball at both stops, thanks Rob and Nelson.
Food and snacks were plentiful and excellent!
Thanks to all for such a great day! 12 hours of pinball! Blissful!

Pinball is such a great way to get great people together.
Sure is. Brings together so many different walks of life. Great seeing people real personality and can put to rest the Internet image I had of many. Much better that way
Sorry about the migraine. I know someone who gets them and it's usually on a hot day like yesterday. There is no excuse needed my friend those things cripple people. I can't even imagine. Hope it wasn't too bad once you were in the dark.
Much thanks to Rob and Nelson (and his lovely wife) for hosting.
I can safely say it was a great day of casual play on excellently maintained games, and so nice to meet so many non-competitive pinheads! *disclaimer i LOVE playing competitive pinball, but sometimes its nice just to ENJOY it.
Josh, happy 40th and have an amazing ski trip! Lets talk some shop (it security ) and some tfle when you get back.
