I'm not really that smart, but scroll down about 1/4 page and look how many countries it was #1 in:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Ice_%28album%29#Chart_performance_and_sales

I'm sure you'll be waiting for the "Cher: Believe" pinball too. Actually you are a little long in the tooth...just maybe

if you want to go back to late 80s early 90s industrial, id vote for:
revolting cocks, lords of acid or ministry...pinball.
NIN only their first record was good.

    NIN by a mile!

    #54 9 years ago

    neither.....

    #55 9 years ago
    Quoted from renodakota:

    Neither!
Trent is a little whinny bitch that was somewhat appealing when I was 13.
But I was just trying to impress a goth chick.
It served it's purpose of making my parents mad but that's about all there is to it.

Have you listened to any NIN records from the past decade or so (Year Zero, Ghosts I-IV, The Slip, and Hesitation Marks)? He's matured tremendously, both lyrically and musically. Hesitation Marks is his best album since The Fragile. It's fantastic.

    Quoted from renodakota:

I would listen to more NIN if it was instrumental.

You're in luck. Ghosts I-IV is an instrumental NIN album. Trent also did the scores to Gone Girl, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and The Social Network (for which he won an Oscar), and they're all outstanding.

everywhere i look you're all i see... ...multiball

Tha awesome video for "Only" off the With Teeth album. Directed by David Fincher, using the tabletop Pin Art novelty toy. I'd love to see extra ball/jackpot/etc animations done in this style! Hell, I'd love for DF and Trent Reznor to team up and create a pinball. They were perfect in The Social Network and Girl w/the Dragon Tattoo.

I voted Aerosmith, but only because there was none of the above option. Look I dug NIN in my late teens/early twenties, but Aerosmith has the lasting power here. Aerosmith spans generations were NIN does not. This is coming from a guy that bought his sister a NIN Emek yours ago.

Now if I could pick a music them for a pin it would be Red Hot Chili Peppers all the way. Only if the translite does not look like this:
    redhotchilipepersksksks.jpgredhotchilipepersksksks.jpg

Second best would be The Reverend Horton Heat.

Subjective, but I can't agree. From beginning to end it was probably his best though. He's made plenty of good albums after that though. Been some good remixes too.

I will say that I could go without ever hearing head like a hole again though.

Tastes better than the old dog chow.

I would buy a RHCP pin, Nails would be my first choice though. Enough with the dino rock and stoner metal bands, give gen X a pin!

    #62 9 years ago

Yuck, neither. Although, I'd be all over the Tool pin! We should see a new album this year, keeping fingers crossed.

I voted for NIN, probably would not buy one though.

Two bands would have me consider selling some stuff off to get one. Tool and Clutch.

How the fuck can you not like Areosmith? Old, New, its all awesome. At least now ST can pronounce the words without slurring

    #68 9 years ago

Please tell me that pic is not Steven Tyler.

    Old Aerosmith is great.

That power ballad crap with the synthesizer orchestration from the newer albums is a steaming pile.

Last good Aerosmith album was Night In The Ruts.

Nirvana pin would be great as well

Love Nirvana, but wouldn't it be too much of a downer for a pin? I guess it could play All Apologizes as the last song.

Yeah, that's another band that I have loved since high school, but to me, that would be really depressing! I can really see a pinball manufacturer incorporating a song called "Rape Me."

    That's only when you tilt.

Like both bands but voted for Aerosmith because of their appeal to base Americana. Well that and ... I'm a pasty white middle age white dude with a beer gut too

I'll take a NIN + Taylor Swift pin based on this song

    #79 9 years ago

Neither. Pinball needs more Metal, I'm thinking, hmmmm SLAYER.

    #80 9 years ago

Just not wide enough influence by NIN to warrant a Pin. Sure they are good and Trent is a genius, but most couldn't name 5 songs from them.
Aerosmith has hit after hit and you don't have to sensor any of it . Steven Tyler is also recognizable by millions now that he has been a Judge for AI. Really a no brainer here between the two.

    Here"s my track list:

    1.Walk This Way
    2.Sweet Emotion
    3.Dream On
    4.Toys In The Attic
    5.Big Ten Inch Record
    6. Love In an Elevator
    7.Janies Got A Gun
    8.Back In the Saddle
    9.Dude Looks Like A Lady
    10.Train Kept A Rollin (Live)

    #81 9 years ago

    Neither.

    #82 9 years ago
    Quoted from HighProtein:

TOOL, NIN, KMFDM, FAITH NO MORE

KMFDM's art style would work great on a pin.

    #83 9 years ago
    Quoted from cosmokramer:

If its not Maiden I don't want to hear about it...

Agree to the max, except Motorhead which we know won't happen. Still would like to see a monsters of Rock pin with about 12 different classic bands. Maybe something like that Brutal Legend game that came out a few years ago.

    1.Walk This Way

    7.Janies Got A Gun
    8.Back In the Saddle
    9.Dude Looks Like A Lady
    10.Train Kept A Rollin (Live)

I'd want a more rocking list with none of the sappy bullshit:

    Toys in the Attic
    Kings and Queens
    Mama Kin
Let the Music Do the Talking
    Lightning Strikes
    Chip Away The Stone
    No More
    Sick As A Dog
    Adam's Apple
    Train Kept a Rollin'

    #85 9 years ago

    Pass.

I liked my aerosmith gun game when I owned one and hardly think it belongs on the tracks.

To fit in with Stern's current music themed pins, I tried to come up with a list of 12 Nine Inch Nails songs that would be worthy in a pinball game. Here's my list:

    1. Terrible Lie
    2. Sin
    3. March of the Pigs
    4. Wish
    5. Closer
    6. We're In This Together
    7. Survivalism
    8. Down In It
    9. The Hand That Feeds
    10. The Perfect Drug
    11. Came Back Haunted
    12. Head Like a Hole

Honorable mentions: Into the Void, Echoplex, Ruiner, Mister Self Destruct, Starf*ckers Inc, Piggy, 1,000,000, Reptile.

Don't forget Wish from the Broken album. The cage from the video wouid be a cool toy.

    #88 9 years ago

Wish would have to be there...better than Reptile. I'd also take Heresy over Reptile too. But Wish is the whole reason I started listening to them. Now, I mostly enjoy his softer stuff, but have grown to appreciate all of his "noise" as I've gotten older. Of the 2, I'd get NIN over Aerosmith, but Aerosmith would have a much broader appeal...plus, you couldn't censor NIN enough without ruining it.

Yes please. Aerosmith is my all time favorite band. I might even buy a new Stern if they come out with this one. If and only if Lyman does the software so I know it will eventually be finished.

    #90 9 years ago

Sheesh, how could I miss Wish? Added to my original post.
