Quoted from eaf67:

As cottonm4 said.
All Stern pinballs (Bally too) share a common architecture, and only the final connections to solenoid, switches and lamps are specific to each pinball.
Download the schematics for seawitch at IPDB, see

About the specific parts, I've received the info from him and I can't share it without his approval.
If you search in IPDB for Nine Ball you can download the owner's manual without schematics.

I already have him covered. Plus, I have one additional scan that I am going to send your way, as well. But you do not need my approval to share those. Pass them around whenever you see the need. But thanks for thinking about me; That is very kind.

Thanks again and I'll do it when necessary.

As I mentioned before, I'm restoring the playfield, the second one that I've purchased to have spare parts and do my tests.

Does anyone have a spare lower left insert to sell?
It was missing from start.

I joined the club at Allentown! Thank’s frunch , game was as discribed! The game play perfect, but i will need the schematic, just in case. If someone can send it to me i will appraciated!

Redketchup Congratulations on joining the club. The one at Pinfest had a rough playfield but played beautifully. It was nice meeting you and thanks again for helping load my pin in my SUV Saturday.

Thank’s bluespin! Was my pleasure.

I reserve the full treatment for that nineball... should be beautifull when finish... complete playfeild restoration! And yes she doesn’t look pretty, but play perfect.

Glad you guys found that Nine Ball was playing nicely, i put a lot of time into dialing it in. I'm really excited to see what Redketchup does with it, his collection of classic Sterns is gorgeous! Glad to see it go to a good home.

I completely missed seeing it. For science, can you share the condition and asking price (or sale price, if buyer is OK with it)?
Thx

thanks. cant beat that price! nice score!

Hi Everybody,

I'm a brand new french guy in the club ^^
What is (or are) the right Rom, fully working for this game ?
and where can I catch its
thanks for your clues ! ! !

Quoted from LorenZ:

I've been using revision 60, which is apparently the least buggy. It's available for free to download at IPDB.org, here's the link directly to the ROMs:

For those with a bad backglass, just receive mine from @greatwichjohn... look awesome, lit or not! John really nail it with this one

Nice picture of the box (ding). For people not use to shipping with UPS. There is a very slim chance to win a damage claim on glass, & even wood playfields. #1 even if your shipping box is engineered, & custom. If it doesn't carry a test stamp your done. #2 what ever UPS does isn't their fault (drive fork lift over box, or rough handling). #3 any insurance I pay is worthless, in the end I replace or compensate on me. Glad to report the packaging I use, & prep that loss is 2% overall. Not due to me, & you can see I use cardboard edge protectors on corners, honeycomb spacers, & foam insulation on corners of glass.

#314 5 years ago

The packing was awesome... i don’t think you can do better then that!

Yeah, John's packing is 2nd to no one's.

I am looking for some scans or a link for Nine Ball Instruction/ Apron Cards. I apologize if someone posted them on this thread. I quickly browsed all 6 pages.
Let me know.

I got a question about the 4 green wow insert in front of the two "3 drop targets banks".
How does the light goes on?
only effective in attract mods or test on my machine.

#323 5 years ago

I'm pretty sure those WOW lights come on after you've lit 6x or 7x bonus multiplier (which is adjustable via the dip switches on the mpu)... Pretty hard to light those! I've gotten 7x once, but i also have mine set to give multipliers only when all 6 drops are down (which can be toggled between 3 and 6 via the dip switches as well)...i was so excited to get 7x that i didn't even think to shoot for the WOW!

#324 5 years ago

I know the pictures are not the best, but I tried catching all the variations of the scoring cards that were in a sealed envelope in my machine (each has a different "code" at the bottom right). If anyone needs better detail of a specific ruleset I'd be happy to e-mail -- just send me a PM.

Thanks so much for your response. my dip switches were at the right place (for 6x), but nothing happen, perhaps problems on dip !!!

Quick rules question: What are the best shots to take while in multi-ball (with standard roms)? I don't see 3x-scoring inserts on the playfield -- is there any scoring benefit to being in multi-ball mode?

Its my understanding that there is no advantage in multi-ball scoring -- except to hit more targets at a quicker pace.

The “x” multipliers go from 1-7, just like on Seawitch.

Example
1x 1x is lit
2x 2x is lit
3x 1x AND 2x are lit
4x. 4x is lit
5x. 4x and1x are lit
6x. 4x and 2x are lit
7x. All three are lit

More and more people discovering that Classic Sterns are unique and really fun players.

Wish I had realized this a few years ago!

Only one drawback I see to early Sterns -- when do they learn to incorporate hurry ups in a solid state?

Williams: Black Knight - 1980
Bally: Viking - 1979
