This probably won't be much help to you but just thought I'd mention I had an intermittent problem with my Night Rider, the slings would stop scoring. I would lift the playfield and they would work again for a bit even after lowering it, than stop again. I eventually traced it to a loose solder joint to a wire on one of the drop target banks. It looked okay but was actually barely connected on physical inspection.
