Quoted from rp362:

Bought a Bally Night Rider and the game has played flawless for a little over a month tonight we went to play and machine lights like normal and when the free play is pressed nothing happens. I see no visible problem. Could it be the start button switch needs to be cleaned? One minute we are playing the next nothing happens. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

if this was a gottlieb I'd have you check the contact on the credit wheel, ie closed at anything but zero signifying credits. can be dirty etc

And the Credit unit zero position is one I usually suspect on a GTB.

in this circuit there is quite a number of NC switches to verify. an alligator jumper will be a useful tool in this case
