Wow what a beautiful playfield. Did you restore the one from the first picture into what we see now? I don't think i have the talent for that so i'm waiting for CPR to finish making theirs.

Hi i'm installing a chime box in my night rider that can from a SS night rider. I removed the diods already so i think im good there but i do not know which chime length should go with what point value. Can anyone help me here? I have it right now wired so that the 1000 point is the shortest chime and the 10 point chime is the longest but i could defiantly have it backwards.

Quoted from cp1610:

This may help you shortest chime has red wire with white dash. middle chime is blue with white dash. longest chime has orange wire with white dash.
[quoted image]
As you can see my middle chime is cooked but that's a later problem trying to get game to stop non stop reset at drop targets upon game star up. I can claim being a member of the club but mines the black sheep of the club.

Thank you for this picture! It looks like i wired the 10 and 1000 point chimes backwards.

Has anyone bought a CPR playfield yet? I want to order one but I would like to hear what others think of theirs first.

Quoted from stumptown:

Do you know if they're direct print or screened?

I believe they are direct printed now.

Quoted from gdonovan:

Just to keep things bumping.
Last year I updated the lighting under the plastics for the drop targets. I used 4" Comet Lighting strips which pop right in with an adapter into the damn near useless light socket for that location.
So now the plastics are properly lit.
[quoted image]

I really like this, i tried doing something similar with a flex head bulb down in that useless light socket. It looks better but i will likley change it to something like yours when i place my next order with comet. I did think the playfield needed more light so i added some spotlights. I did have to cut the bottom off the spotlight so the ball wouldn't hit it, but i like the added light.

How does your playfield look? I've been really wanting to purchase one. Mind posting some pictures?

Quoted from Flash71:

Very pleased to be in the club finally. Picked this up from Aflacjack who was nice enough to split the shipping with me from Tennessee to New York. Going to enjoy it for a bit then start the restore with my son. Should be a fun project. I’ve never done a full restore before but after reading through RonSS posts I’m confident it will turn out great. Have my CPR playfield, pinball pimp stencils and new apron decals so far. I wish I could find a new plastic set. Reached out to CPR to see if they plan on running one. Mine are decent but would love to have a brand new set. Swapping the Playfield seemed like a daunting task but after really taking a look how things are layed out underneath the Playfield I’m pretty confident. No issues with gameplay/mechanics so that’s always a plus.

I admit RonSS has inspired me to try repairing a playfield so i would be interested in your old one so i could try that without taking my game down so please PM me and maybe we can work something out. I was initially wondering how the CPR playfield looked though? I was wondering if your happy with the art details and colors.

Quoted from Flash71:

All the inserts are sunk/cupped but overall it’s not terrible cosmetically. I’ll post some pics when I get home. I would be more then happy to send her you’re way if you’re interested for a small fee+shipping.

Quoted from Flash71:

The CPR one is nice. Very smooth and all inserts are uniform. [quoted image]

Looks great! Thanks for taking the time to share. I'd love to follow your restoration if you start a thread.
